I sent an e-mail last night with questions and stated my desire to buy. I am very confident in this bike due to the owner and now Court's affirmation. I aim to close this deal, I just need to get the thing out here. |

Thanks for the kind words Court and interest from everybody! I hate to see it go, but I definitely would like to see it go to an enthusiast who isn't going to cut it up. Jon was first to make a firm offer and has first right of refusal and I think there is a firm second offer out there....I'll shoot a note out if for some reason it is still available or when it leaves the garage for the last time. Regards, Wes |

By the way . . . at that price, plus $500 to ship, it remains a steal. If you want a pristine example, you'll wait a long time before this good of a deal comes along. |

>>>half the fun would be going to get it personally! Frankly . . . I agree with you. The last person I know that went to retrieve an S2 from the factory came away with an impressive assortment of goodies. And . . . . I'm sending him a brand spanking new owners manual. Figure. . . fly in on Friday afternoon to MKW, collect bike that afternoon. Ride Saturday and Sunday and you're home. Heck . . I may even want to meet you and ride with you if I can get mine from CO to WI. Could be a wonderful 3 day adventure. |

Ustorque, if I was in your shoes (looking for a S2) I would already have this one. Sometimes I see a low mileage bike that people jump all over (around 5K or less). This is flawed in my opinion. A bike that has not been ridden that much is prone to gasket leaks, tire rot, isolator failure etc etc. This one has been ridden but I would say has relatively low miles. I will be the first to admit that I have a thing for the Quicksilver S2-T (no big secret). The upgrades made to this bike are the ones that make sense. If you buy it and do not like it I will trade you straight up for my Ice White Pearl 95 S2. Fly to WI and ride it back. What a great time of year for a road trip on a classic Buell. Frank |

I also know the person who made these mods. There are "mods" and there are "mods". Wes is one of the fellows, in the days I was testing bikes, who . . . if he had told me "it's ready" . . I would have foregone my "crawl around the bike on my hands and knees" pre-flight. Heck . . if you get this back to NH and don't like it I'd likely be willing to take it off your hands. These are going to be one of the true classic Buells. |

if I can get mine from CO to WI And that has never been a problem. This is easy; Lynn can drive me to get the bike, I will spend a day going over it (stay at Zac,s house), leave the next day and two to three days to meet you and Ustorque in East Troy WI. You guys ride back to the East Coast. Cost; Plane ticket from WI to CO and a ride to the airport. Memories; Many Let me call my CFO to see how much vacation time I have left. Frank |

That's what you can expect from a Buell employee owned bike. Abe owned it before Bruce and it had 13077 miles when I got it. And if Wes' bike had the care and attention mine had you or whom ever buys it, is in for a great surprise! I have had quite a few people here at work think it was brand new and from the looks of Wes' and Court's testimony I am sure it will be the same... |

Nice banter. I'm already sold on it per Hurricaneleah's post. Just sorting out some shipping details. Court, If I could spare the time and vacation days, I would fly and ride. I just burned a week in Colorado visiting family and as the Pre-Con director for a struggling curtainwall firm out here, I'll have to extract via long distance. Not enough wins to justify any more time off for the time being. I've never seen the market this brutal...ever. By the way, e-mail me that $500 transport fee info. I haven't found prices that low. |
