on a 1125R? Just curious not interested in the cons just want to know if it will have any clearance issues (rubbing swing arm) etc. To be used for street not track. I can get a set for cheap($100) which I need while waiting to afford a new set of 180/55. | ||

Don't know never tried. Try a rough comparison of dimensions and see what actual clearances you currently have. | ||

Hell, for that price (unless your riding pretty aggressively) then it'd make sense to just switch altogether. Most fronts only cost more than that. What other sizes fit the 1125R that would be good alternatives to the Diablo Corsa's? | ||

I'll be curious on your feedback regarding the handling impact of a 190 vs a 180 on the bike. That ntech tire is a really good tire, if you are looking at the 211 Dunlop ntech. I can't believe you are getting them for $100. Don't expect them to last long. They are super-soft DOT race rubber. But I'll be it provides some glorious confidence while it lasts. | ||

The reason I am getting them cheap is because a freind of mine bought them but only used them on the track once and now switched to qualifiers for the street. He offered them to me since my tires are worn they are still in very good shape. Ye they are the 211 ntech I just went through a set of Roso's in one month (3000 miles) and can't afford to brand new tires yet. I thought they would last longer but on this bike I seem to have hard time making any rubber last and I don't even do wheelies or burn outs. | ||

The front wore way too fast for me. I had the sides close to bald while the rear still had a few more miles. I liked how they stick but I didn't like the profile as much as the Roso or Corsa 3. For some reason they didn't fall in as quick for me anyway. But for the price they are hard to beat and may end up with them again short term. | ||

3000 miles out of a set of Rosso is "above average" in my experience. You might try something like the Strata or the Avon Storm if longer life is your goal. They are both a more "sport touring" tire, and should give a compromise between sporting performance and life. Tires for High Performance motorcycles aren't cheap. | ||

That's the good part with the Corsa IIIs. I try to ride soft and smooth on the flats, then terrorize turistas in the twisties. Wear the center slow and the sides fast. Z | ||

For some reason I thought the Roso was harder compund then the Corsa 3. But insteadt hey wore quicker. Oh well. Since I don't plan any track days this summer I will probably try the strada's or roadsmarts after the ntech's get chewed up. | ||

Putting a 190 tire on a rim for a 180 will affect the handling. Because of the belt structure and how the narrower rim will pinch the wider tire, you'll get a wider and flatter middle with a larger contact patch, a more abrubt transision into the lean with less contact patch area when leaned over. I wouldn't do it unless saving money was your #1 goal. | ||

I get about 500 miles out of a Corsa III rear on the track, and then transfer it to me street bike (the sides are worn, but the center is still very good) where I can get another 500 miles or so. I get 1500+ out of the Rosso, but just don't care for them that much. | ||

ive run 190's on the 9r a few times. i ride very aggresively. ran one at the dragon and on the track a few times. they work fine. but as far as for the 1125 im not sure on the clearance. havent tried one yet. not sure if i will. i do need to figure out my next tires though. maybe 400 miles on these. about half on the track     you cant really tell from these pics but the fact that the tire is now the same color as my frame is kinda cool lol. these were a brand new set of corsa III's i need to figure out what im going to run next. these do good, but the times and speed im trying to reach im alread past the limits of what they like. they will do it but they complain alot! although all those power slides are sure fun...!!! im trying to figure out what race rubber to run and i need to get some of the race pads as well. | ||

The 55 series ntech was designed to work on a 5.5 from what I understand. My concern was only for swing arm clearance due to added height. If the profile was designed to run on a 5.5" rim then there shouldn't be an issue. |
