At the risk of beating a dead horse I ask the following: My Service Manual for my '00 M2 states the oil capacity is 2 quarts, including the 4 ounces poured into the oil filter prior to installation. I have read on this forum that the oil capacity for all tubers is 2 1/2 quarts. Now which is correct? Why the discrepancy? Am I reading correctly? Is the Service Manual wrong? |

Go with the two quarts. This should bring the level up to the lower part of the stick. Right where you want it for less pukage.. Brad |

It's closer to 2.25 quarts. I'd not put any less in it and if you go over it's self-leveling (a touch messy). |

Keep it simple. 2 quarts is what I use. And 1 quart in the tranny/primary. |
