Thanks for posting that. I thought the "kits" were all plastic and larger scale. I got the Anniversary edition, assembled. It will stay that way. Then I'll get a couple of the kits - one to stay modified like Loretta and one for dreaming. Thanks Maisto. Hey, if enough of these sell, maybe I can go into business making miniature 1125 parts... |

Sweet, since it comes disassembled I can send mine straight to Grand Stands to get powder coated. |

Frank: You probably need to forget the powder coating unless you want a lump of plastic. 400 deg f will probably be above the melt point for the plastic by a few degrees ;+} |

I don't know about yours guys, but mine has just ridiculous detail, for something that's barely 3" long: http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4833/4 881/24582440316_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4833/4 881/24582440315_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4833/4 881/24582440314_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4833/4 881/24582440313_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4833/4 881/24582440312_large.jpg |

Holy crap a 300,000 mile award! Is that BMW's way of saying "Wow, we didn't expect it to make it either"?

You can get an award for every 100,000 miles. I'm working on my 400,000 and have less than 80,000 to go. I'd get there a lot faster if I didn't enjoy riding the 1125R so much! Got my first 100,000 mile award in less than six years of ownership when I had my K100, but that was the ONLY bike I owned at the time. It's slowed down considerably since I have two different bikes now. I ride the LT for the LONG trips (and two-up with my Sweetie), but tend to take the 1125R when I'm by myself. Since January I've logged 4,773 miles on the 1125R, but only 3,272 on the LT. That will change this month as I'll be heading down to Tennessee for the annual BMW MOA International Rally. |

Jaime, I'm a big fan of your color combo. Pretty awesome, especially with the red Aerostich. BTW, what is that red suit you are wearing in your profile pic? Also cool... And, I noticed that you don't have the gripskins on your airbox... interesting. I guess that would dampen the whole red effect, right? (Message edited by pariah on July 04, 2009) |

Those leathers in my profile pic are Fieldsheers. They're a little over twenty years old. Hey, they still fit, so why should I buy another set? The original gloves and boots are long gone, though. I now have Held gloves and Oxtar boots in matching red, white and black to go with the leathers. And yes, I didn't put the gripskins on because I didn't want to cover up the red. There's enough area on the sides of the frame that I don't really need them on the tank either. |

I assembled mine yesterday PM. No real issues, just had to pry here/ there to get some things to fit/ snap in place. FWIW, the smallest screw goes in the steering stem. All screws are different sizes. I've got a red, white and, black one now. TIme2Work Neil S. |

Try your dealership. We got some in, in Motorclothes/GM. All gone for now. "I heard a rumor" that they are very limited and will be sent out with larger orders(wholesale) of the white and red as a bonus. Dunno if there's any truth to that or not. |

I emailed the company listed , and they said they had no black, and did not know when they would be available. Shame the fastest ones are out of stock... |

I figure one of the Tamiya Moto GP model kit would provide some great detail parts for a Superbike conversion! |

No the bolts/ screws are included. IIRC there are 6 of them, each of them a different length. |
