ok, who's going and how am I going to recognize you?? Myself, I'll be on the new blue XB12X, wearing a blue stich, camping with the crew at the corkscrew. How about a Sunday morning breakfast ride before the GP?
There are 3 full-sized RV camping spots with only one being used by Jerry Johnson's RV (shown)... doubt that there'll be 40 folks actually camping there.
There's probably nearly 20 camping there and more who stop by (it's a convenient meeting place)
It's just ALWAYS been the Love Shack... you'll have to ask Ebear or Al about that!
Where are all the Buells?!?!?!?!?! Really though, it looks like a Ducati rally down on Cannery row... I've seen ONE Lightning and ONE Blast so far... No Ulys or 25C/R's yet... I guess you guys are having too much fun at the Love shack huh...
Just wanted to thank everybody at the love shack for the hospitality and good times. Didn't mean to run off without saying g,bye and thanks. I went down to the paddock and when I looked at the time I had to get home. Jim thanks for the offer but I couldn't get out of some things that had to be done this a.m. Love shack rocks!
What a great weekend, just got home a while ago. Fun time camping with everyone. I was a real treat to have Michael Barnes and Danny Eslick stop by the Love Shack with their umbrella girls. And Richie Morse stopped by as well. And to top it all off, Shawn Higbee and his girlfriend were camping with us as well. Just goes to show you three out of four Buell racers prefer the Love Shack for a good time. Thanks to Jerry, Kathleen, Al and everyone else who put the weekend together. I had a blast.
finishing 8th does not do justice for the competeviveness performance by Eslick. what a race. It was better then the GP race. it was a thriller. i was cheering for the V power of the aprilla when it was the aprilla and yamaha figting for the win. Eslick was for most of the race in the top 3 until the last accident and I was just glad the yamaha missed Eslick. It would have sucked to see our Bueller go down after such a great performance. go buell
I watched the lap times from AMA racing for the Sportbike race yesterday, are the Buells having their tires go away more than the 600s? It seamed like their lap times were falling off more at the end than anyone else.
...are the Buells having their tires go away more than the 600s...
I would say they are. Tire wear is somewhat dependent on riding style. However, any time you are carrying more weight on the same contact patch you will likely cause more wear to maintain the same lap time. Also, after the near miss in the Corkscrew toward the end of the race, Eslick may have decided that finishing the race was better than crashing while trying to chase down the leaders.
