I like the wing on the tail...Does it load the rear tire at high speed? |

No the factory would not have painted it. I just asked my sources about the 1-10 question. either way still a cool bike to own... |

It belongs to Frank Webb (aka Buellsrule here on BadWeb). I don't know the story, or why it would be worth so much, but I do know he listed it for $10,000 and it didn't sell...and I doubt it will get anywhere near $8,500 either, at least not without some kind of explanation as to why it might be worth that much. I love the flyscreen tho. |

Didn't that bike sell here on the classifieds not too long ago? I think the actual builder of the bike was the owner and it sold on here for somewhere south of 4K but I could be sorely mistaken. I'm wanting to think it was Old biker or Old man or someone old selling the bike originally. |

I do remember seeing that bike before.... Reminds me of this statement I heard a while ago.."There is a sucker born every day"...Or something like that. |

Yeah, that's what I was trying to remember. My brain isn't functioning much, still on vacation. A week at Disney isn't all that relaxing with three kids but it was fun. |

I didnt think pm wheels were a vin type thing, just a factory/dealer option? I could be wrong though, court? |

So, let me see if I have this straight. Old_biker3 used to work at Buell and he had this bike specially made for himself, basically creating a one-of-a-kind bike, right? Then he sells this "one-of-a-kind" low mileage bike asking only $4700 (obviously he would know what it's worth). The new owner puts it on the market for more than twice what he paid for it and expects to sell it? I have to admit, that takes some balls in such a small community as is here in Badweb land. I have to agree with Kalali-"There's a sucker born every minute" and if he can find someone who will pay that kind of money more power to him. It just won't be anyone who knows Buells. On a positive note, I do like the wind screen and the exhaust but that wing on the tail would have to go! (Message edited by scarecrow on July 04, 2009) |

Those were stock wheels. It's a 1999 X1 Carbon Fiber. Period. |
