Hi everyone i need a little help here my dealer here says the seat and pegs don't fit my cr do you have to switch the mounting hardware under the seat and change something on the foot pegs all because the part # don't match thanks | ||

The seat fits without any modification. I don't have the pegs, but I THINK they fit without modification as well. And get the seat retention kit from American Sportbike.  (Message edited by daggar on June 26, 2009) | ||

You're dealer is wrong about the seat...some one else needs to pipe in about the pegs. When I got the touring seat I was skeptical. The dealer let me fit it on my bike in the parking lot before the sale just to be sure. It fit like a glove and the dealer was happy because it opened a whole other market for the seat.   | ||

Uly pegs: Discussed here Buell comfy seat: part of Buell's very own accessories catalog I know, I know.. that's the Firebolt section. So many of us have this seat (including me) on the 1125R/CR. Trust me, it fits. | ||

Do you need to change the angle of the gear/grake levers when fitting the Uly pegs? Ive got a set on order at the moment and hope to fit then next weekend | ||

The Lightning pegs have the same drop but look closer to stock. Also only $25 compared to the Uly $40. I would adjust the brake and shifter so you don't have to lift your foot so far. | ||

My Uly pegs have arrived today so when I get home I'm gonna get them fitted... to clarify, I have to adjust the foot controls. I'm sure it'll be obvious when I look at it but do you guys have any advice on what I have to do to sort out the alignment for each side? Plumpton | ||

My advice, sit on it! See how it feels. I didn't have to change mine on either side. Neil S. | ||

On the shifter, you just take the arm off the shaft and move it on the splines. The brake has a screw adjuster, IIRC. Rob | ||

Fitted them this evening... Ive changed the angle of the foot controls a tad to keep things comfortable. One thing I would say is that they stick out further than the originals, I don't mean total length I mean the actual part where your foot buts up to the bike end of the peg. This means that the foot controls aren't as prominent meaning that the foot has to be angled in slightly when using the controls... I've done a quick 5 miles on it and all appeared to be good so i don't think its an issue. Having lower pegs definitely makes things more relaxing. The wider peg also spreads the weight more evenly over the peg. | ||
