Neil, I'm sorry for your pain bro. I lost my sister to lung cancer many years ago. She was only 57. I still miss her - a lot. Brings a tear to my eye just now thinking about her. On the plus side, I kicked cancer's ass last year myself. Had my prostate removed and I'm good to go. |

Neil, So sorry to hear. Best to you and your wife during the tough times that lie ahead. My best friend's wife(also a best friend of ours) is being sent home today with hospice. Between the chemo and the cancer she too is a bag of bones. She is refusing anymore treatments. They've installed a spinal port to feed morphine directly to her nervous system so she can at least rest. Kim and I stayed with her Saturday night so other family members could tend to their business. This story is repeated too many times to mention. I'm afraid when Big Jim's Ride rolls around next year we'll be thinking of quite a few more people. Go well Neil. Prayers have been sent from our family to yours. JB2 |

Neil we are truly sorry to hear this. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I agree with Etennuly that if you can go then go and give her a hug and thank her for being in your life. My wifes mom made her and her father miss the ability to go out and say goodbye to her Grandfather who was succumbing to cancer and it rips at both of them to this day that they couldn't get out there. Try to keep your head up and remember how blessed you are to have had the experience of them in your life. Take care- Sam |

Neil- My family's thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Difficult situation, and although most of us on this board can relate because of similar life experiences, please consider doing what is right for you. My experience with cancer in the family was under totally different circumstances, but once I looked at my dad's face and saw he was leaving this realm more quickly than the doctors said, I adjusted everything in my life so I could spend as much time with him I could while he was still with us. To this day, I have no regrets. God Bless. BeLinda. |
