Has anyone ridden their 1125 at significant altitude variations? Like Bear Tooth Pass, MT (10,947 ft) and Death Valley, CA (-196 ft). I wondered how the 1125 ECU reacts. My carbureted S3, as expected, gets a little testy at those extremes. Also it seems the Race ECU which, as I understand it, doesn't use the O2 sensors could have some problems. Are there any racers here who race at significantly different altitudes with the Race ECU? G |

Not 100% sure, but I think the race ECM has the option to kill the 02's. Even if you do pull them out of an efi system, the baro pressure and temp sensors can do a decent job of handling the change... Or so some say. Beware, this issue is a little touchy. Flame on! R |

Id like to get a real educated answer on this also. I currently live in Kansas City, but im moving back to Denver shortly. Im kinda curious how my bike is gonna like the high altitude mountain rides after its been at sea level for 15k miles. |

I live in LA.. Street level here is 250' +/-. I frequently run up to 7,000' altitude without issues. Sometime up and down several times a day. The highest I've had it is 9000'. Maybe I don't know what effect to look for but there seems not to be one. |

With both a MAP and BARO the 1125 does well. However nothing without a turbo or supercharger will not loose horsepower at altitude. |

I've never had any issues going from Billings about 3400ft to top of Beartooth pass 10,500ft and over into WY on my 2008 1125R. Obviously it has less power up that high, but not a hiccup in the way it ran. |

My experiences are the same as Doermans and Bikejunkys going regularly from 4200' to 10,000' and back in a few hours and after removing the inner air box and adding my own muffler system it has responded just fine with a little more H.P. for this altitude. My AFV's which were 94.5 F&R are now 100 F&R and the bike has never run this good throughout the rev. range. |

The decrease in horsepower is expected. I was more interested in variations in ridability, throttle response, hesitation etc. Thanks for the feed back. G |

I recently DID ride in Death Valley and then we went to Tahoe....1st week of May '09 over the 4 days of riding I never noticed any issues with altitude having any effect on my 1125....she ran great the entire trip (1,300 miles)with an average of 45mpg and seeing 50mpg on a couple of tanks |

Not sure of the altitudes, but I've ridden my CR all through the Catskill, Adirondack, Green and Berkshire mountain ranges with no noticable changes in how it ran. I live within a couple hundred feet of sea level. |
