Nice looking bone-dome. Anybody know where I can find a helmet comparison list that shows noise levels? My Shoei Raid 2 is very noisy, just bought the Whisper strip kit, & we'll see if it's much better & if it's too hot this summer. I was going to get a Scuberth C2 but apparently they've stopped making them & the C3 doesn't fit my head. |

Anyone have the EXO 700? Newenough has them for 109.00 and I wonder if it is more quiet than my HJC AC-12. |

My previous was a 700. Nice helmet that sounds like a great price. It wasn't as quiet as the 1000. That may be because it was getting older and not as tight. The 700 is a solid comfortable helmet with good ventilation. I may pick up another at that price. I've never worn an Ac-12 so I can't compare but the 700 wasn't overly loud. You may want to try one on for fit. I'm not sure of the head shape as compared to HJC. |

webbikeworld.com has all manner of helmet tests, including noise comparisons. |

I can't see the picture at work. I have the flat black EXO1000. I love that thing. I had a 400, and enjoyed that one. I will still use it at track days. The fit of the 1000 is a little bit different. I have a long skull, and the 1000 is a bit tight in the front. I had to do a little bit of "whiddling" to the foam. Just barely took out 1/8" or so up front. Hopefully that will do the trick, as I don't want to take much more than that for safety's sake. This is an XL... the XXL was too big. So I am somewhere in the middle. My 400 is an XL as well. And I remember a bit of "break in" time was needed... but not nearly as painful as this one has been. |

Whadda ya think about the Reebok pump thingie for the cheek pads? Seemed a little gimmicky to me, and one more overly-complicated thing to tear up. Otherwise I woulda' gotten one as well (I settled for an HJC IS-16: good, lighter weight, but not as comfy padding as my EXO-700). ~SM |

The cheekpad pumps are no problem. I kinda like em. It's a very unobtrusive system. I don't actually use it because the helmet is new and very snug. As it wears, the pump will probably be nice to keep it snug and quiet. The nose piece breath deflector does a great job and I like the lower wind screen (under neck.) Time will tell if the pump cheek thingee is a flop. I can't speak to its longevity tho. I don't think it will be a weak point. Appears well done. |

The cheek pads do help block wind noise, that is for sure. A couple of pumps, and the quiet settles in. The only problem is with each pump, I end up pulling one of the hairs in my beard... Ouch! |

Is the fabric the same in the 1000 as it is in the 700? I have the 700 but I don't wear it because when I low sided I hit my hear very hard. I was told not to use a helmet again after a crash. I bought a HJC-15 carbon and I think the fabric is so much better in the scorpion. |

not to muck up an otherwise cool dedicated thread to those Scorpion helmets.I too bought my first new helmet in NINE years last Saturday. I'd seen Court's red/white/green helmet and liked the colors.
