It can be done, but lights and console would be a challenge since you'd also have to change out the spider (fairing bracket).

Personally I like the looks of the 1125R fairing better and would not want to give up the better wind protection and lights.

Ive got a buddy with a Firebolt, and we were gonna switch fairings for a day or two (we were bored). We started looking at it and youd have to switch a lot of stuff around on the front end, and then still find some way to rig up a gauge cluster.....not worth it IMO but it might be something to do on a rainy day.

Fits the tail better for sure, or you can bulk up the tail like CCRyder.

From the above link--

Please note: The final version differs slightly from the photographs in that it uses the stock 1125R screen.

I mean to say your bike is very well balanced from front to back. It looks like it should be a production model for Sport Touring. Fairing looks scaled to tail on yours.

By bulk up the tail, you mean add saddlebags?

The front fairing swap has been done. It does not look good on either bike.

Thanks for the kudos, I spent considerable time mocking up digitally and then reality before I made any sparks.

It is still the old blonde versus brunettes debate. Fortunately we all have choices.

Steveoc-

I think you need to push the XB fairing back in farther for a better representation of what it may look like. If you notice, the 1125R fairing is pretty even with the front fender. The XB12R fairing is well behind the front of the fender.

I'm envisioning the front tips of the pods almost (within an inch or two) in line with the front of the XB fairing.
