Lucille - She is 17 now, can't walk very well, has cancer and has gone past the vet's guess as to how long she had left. I will truly miss her when she's gone.

And after a bath!!! Tyler has just turned 7, but still thinks he is a puppy (toy motivated)
and Isabella(Issy aka Typhoon Issy) has just turned 12 months and thinks she is all grown up (food motivated)
Together they are the terrible two.

"BCS - What do you got, there? Looks like some Dalmatian mixes I've seen. Fell in love with Dalmatians, I have a puppy coming in the fall!" He's a cross between a Boarder Collie and a Beagle. We got him from a Rescue Shelter. When he was a puppy, his "owner" threw him against a wall and broke his leg. We had it broken and reset by our vet, but he may still have to have it amputated. |

Matilda - we rescued her last year. She's a 7 year old Australian shepherd mix Bath time I also watch my dog from work at home during the week using a web cam- she doesn't do much but sleep all day, but it still makes me happy to check in on her

This is an OLD pic (~1983) but this was probably our favorite dog: a big Alaskan Malamute/whatever jumped the fence mix named Buck.
The dogs in snow photos above remind me of him (both dogs look like his mom). I saw this dog run through the snow, break through ice on top of a stream across the street from our house, run back into the yard dripping wet, lay down in the snow and PANT in ~25 degree F weather! He was quite the character- he'd "talk" by growling. I saw him scare the crap out of a vet with that trick once. I used to let him in the house when I'd leave for work in the morning. He'd go into our bedroom, sit next to the bed, and place one massive paw on the bed next to my wife's head and wait for her to wake up. If she took too long, he'd give her a growl to get her attention. Some bastard shot him with a bow & arrow at my father-in-law's house a couple of years later. Wish I could have caught him. Buck was a good pup. (Message edited by Hughlysses on June 24, 2009) |

Xena, the Worrier Princess. She's a rescue pup of supposedly lab, shepherd, and "collie-type dog". She spends her day at the shop here, sleeping mostly, except for when she wakes up to bark at the few walk-in customers we get, and to jump into the UPS truck...she LOVES the UPS man: 13 weeks, this past January 15 weeks 7 months She's a smart dog, has trained pretty well and learned lots of tricks. She is the lick-iest dog you'll ever meet, just loves to lick your hands, face, jeans, whatever, and lives to have her belly rubbed. Al (Message edited by al_lighton on June 25, 2009) |
