Took the girl out for a ride and she was saying that the rear seat was getting warm. Is this normal? What causes it? I have heard of this on undertail exhaust bikes...but this bike is about as far away from that as possible! ac |

Stop concentrating on her butt and tell me why the temperature of the rear seat increases during operation. LOL ac |

There is only one way to figure out if it is the seat or her butt. She needs to sit on my lap and I will be able to tell if my lap gets hot. |

I'd check the butt-ery to make sure its not overheating or so during operation. . i mean battery . . haha we will need pics of both her butt and the battery with temp sensors. . hmm a video might be better for a better data feed of the temp sensor (Message edited by nivek on June 23, 2009) |

Is it like a sweaty hot? Or is it more of a burning sensation. I wonder if the engine vibration is making her hot in a way she isn't used to? Maybe it's an allergic reaction and a lambskin cover could be the remedy. Have her wear a g string and give her a ride, when she's hot snap a picture. I'll know more then. |

You guys have forgotten the old fashioned way moms would tell if you had a temp. You must kiss it to tell if it's warm. Then, after you recover from the beating Avc8130 gives you, an accurate report can be submitted. |

The fans from the radiator duct between the frame rails, and around the motor, and exhaust between the rear tire and the fender. I can see that heating up the tail section.... <snicker> Rob |

I agree with Carbon, my GF use to complain about it on the Firebolt all the time. Not so much on the 25R. Just gotta deal with it. Double the <snicker> |

Haha, I just filled the underseat area with fiberglass insulation (jk). She can just get back on her own bike! Problem solved. ac |

Boy, I like where this thread's going! Just have to keep looking until the source of the heat problem is found. Could take quite some time, I hope. Nice, Court. I agree. |

I demo'd an 1125 today. Awesome bike. I'm pretty sure the salesman noted that any air left over from the ram air intake runs past the engine and exits at the bike tire. |
