Hey all, I'm new here and considering the 1125CR (see comfort thread), and I would like to see what kind of mods that people are doing to smarten up the looks. Is there another thread? I couldn't find it if there is... |

If Bearly posts, there'll be 3 of us with Amber wheels. I had a Valencia Orange Trans Airbox, but broke it. Will replace with Kick Ash soon.
I found another use for "touch-up" paint - wheelweights. Z |

I know it doesn't look custom, but it started life as a 2008R. A lot of work to convert it to a CR.

Oh it looks custom. Where else will you find a CR with the diamond Blue frame. |

Outstanding job, '68. I was thinking of trying something like that, but frankly, I simply did not have the courage. I am sure many of us would like to know how you did it, how long it took, how much it cost, and see some construction photos if you have any. Thanks. |

I've got an earlier thread on it. Its not bad now that I know what to do. It was definitely a learning experience. There are more differences in the front end than I thought. Here is a link:http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/462496.html?1243300141 |

Thurston, I see you like Monster energy, like me- how about a full Monster Assault paint scheme for you next time? The urban cammo and all It's the red version of your green stickers, that Kawasaki uses on their green bikes I like your bike! |

First full faired 1125R on this thread I believe. Not for everybody but I love full faired bikes. My "Buellcati"? Naaaaa. Too comfortable on the street.

Some great work here, I love custom bikes! I wish we could see all these bikes in person. Something about this design makes it hard to photograph. Maybe its the angle when you see it in person you are looking more down on it. The fairing models seems to be easier to photograph. |

Xbootlickx, The mirrors on the handle grips in place of the fairing seem much better! I see you have forfeited all of your turn signals ... it looks great though. By using hand signals instead, are you free from any law violations? This may be a stupid question, but I like your bike alot and may do it on mine also. Thanks, Shaun |

Zac4mac Just wanted to let you know that you should install the wheel weights on the same side as the rotor on the front wheel. I had a vibration/numbness issue after I had new tires put on my wheels. After closer inspection I saw that the tire guy had split the weight on the wheel (half on each side). I rebalanced the wheel/tire and no more numbness. |

xb9er caught them lol yeah they are small but functional turn signals. bob and o1xjbuell what exhaust is that? love it! first one ive seen that i like. if anyone is wondering if those rear passenger peg sliders work i had the unfortunate experience of testing them out while on a trip to deals gap .. they worked as designed.. it bent the passenger peg hanger but saved the rear body work. bikes fine other than the left pod and handlebar.. $100 fix. my ribs on the other hand 6 broken left side and spleen was smashed.. recovering now but gives me time to get the bike back in shape for track day .... ohh and fyi watch out for sticks in hairpin turns lol they win every time. |

James(Xbootlickx), mine is my own design pictured somewhere in the archives of its build. I think about July '08. |

Bob ... very nice ... well done .. the only other one i liked was the freespirits in italy.. course i spoke to them and they wont ship to us .. in fact they told me it had to be installed by one of their approved shops.. they do make nice stuff but they have a hard time with customs..http://www.freespirits.it/prodotti.php?lang=1&prod _id=60 (Message edited by xbootlickx on June 24, 2009) |

That's gorgeous Thad. Hope you have fun racing it. Had to add a couple - the clear lacquer I put on last Spring is splitting. So I pulled the plastic to wet-sand the frame and swingarm. She's still rideable.
The K&Ns finally showed up!
Z I really like Thurstonbuell's bellypan. (Message edited by zac4mac on June 24, 2009) |
