Ahhh, that feels better. New clutch cable, new plugs, new wires, TPS reset, and a set of 07 front springs. |

Looks like I won't be making it to rendevous with the Buells. I swear sometime soon I'm gonna be in on one of the group rides! My neighbor says we are going somewhere around Blue Ridge where there is a long FS road, he doesn't know where it ends, and we're going to find out. Works for me! Y'all have a fun time and hopefully next time I'll be in the line of buells up on the twisty roads. |

Whew! Man we had a heck of a ride yesterday! I have officially put the Uly through the dirt wringer now, as much as I could with street tires on it, anyway. My neighbor and I rode a gnarled section of 4X4 road in Blue Ridge W.M.A. and then headed over to Suches to hit Duncan Ridge Road. The first section of dirt was so rough that a can of beer in a cooler in my sidecase burst! The rut in this pic was deeper than it appears (I swear, the fish was THIIIS BIG!)
Ran into Echo15 (Bruce, a Buelltoberfest regular) on his way through north GA headed home to FL after business in Charlotte, just bumped right into each other at T.W.O.. Couldn't believe it. We picked up Echo15 and another guy on a '95 R1150GS at T.W.O. and headed for Duncan Ridge. This guy was from CA, recently retired and hit the road with an RV and his bike, solo. He said he was on the road until he got tired of it and decided to head home. Kinda made me feel a little jealous! His bike has 91,000 miles on it and still ran like a tank. Here we are just finished with Duncan Ridge at the intersection with Wolf Pen.
Two Uly's side by side look pretty sweet there, huh? Bruce and I both hung right in with my neighbor's GS Adventure and this guy's 1150GS. Buell power! Hope everyone else had a good ride! Man was it hot! SHEESH! RT- I'd be happy to help with tire change but it depends on how much you like your powdercoat as to whether you want my help or not. I change my own but you can look at my wheels and tell I don't have a changer. I've gotten better at not scratching...but it still happens a little. Let me know if you want to do the gorilla method (irons, sweat and tears) and I can help you get it done. |

Happy Fathers Day! Eric, don't have tire changing tools. Two Brothers will be the cheapest. See you there Paint' Just talked to Tim on Friday, he'll be here late in the afternoon sometime. Your welcome to pit with us. I'll be trying to save us a few spots. I like the idea of Buell alley, even though I'll be racing the Duc' I'm still Buell at heart, lol! Maybe I'll bring the 12R down for a pit bit and to show support. Nice pics Adam, looks like you had fun. (Message edited by shred on June 21, 2009) |

Say hello to my little friend. Angie and I adopted a new dog yesterday. She's a basset hound, and she's around 2 years old. She was found wandering as a stray and taken in by the Atlanta Basset Hound Rescue Group.
Some quality butt sniffing:
Corsa's a little jealous, but they're getting along well.
Now we just need a name for her. Any suggestions? |

She looks like a Rhonda to me. Maybe Maude. Please don't name her Chloe. |

Maude is definitely a good basset hound name. My parents have one named Jim's Magnolia Blossom ("Maggie" for short). Prior to that was Biscuit. |

Now we just need a name for her. Any suggestions? Euripidaes Balzak Balzak for short.. No?? Track day question: What break fluid would you guys recommend for a track day? And, if it is good for track use, would it be fine to use for street use also?? I'm doing my first track day this coming Saturday at Barber. Doing the intro session with NESBA. CAN'T WAIT!! Acav80 - Paint/powder coating is over-rated, can't see mine for the dirt anyhow. The help would be great ... I PM'd you my info. Ride look's like fun, Only took the Uly down the trail one time, Little scary but it was mostly me trying too tentative. Sanchez - Cute pup. Wife suggested Rihanna because the basset has a big forehead. |

Russ, stock is fine. Really for your first track day dont sweat anything on the Buell, you wont find the bikes limits, but prolly your own. Gonna try to come hang for the races some, but I would not count on it... |

"Gonna try to come hang for the races some" Me too. Shred, Paint, and Smoke, I don't think I can make it for both Saturday and Sunday. I'm leaning toward Saturday. Would one day be better than another as far as the races you guys are riding in this weekend? |

As far as what day to choose, the weather looks good for both days. Saturday's practice starts at 8:30-11:00 lunch 11:00-12:00 Races start at 12:00 and theirs a total of 9 races which most are 16 laps each, 6 laps for vintage and 1 Riders school mock race thats 4 laps at the end of the day Sunday's practice starts at 8-10 lunch 10-12 races start at 12 with a total of 17 races as far as my schedule goes I'll just race once on Sat. and I'll race 3 or 4 races on Sunday. Tim will race 1 on Sat. and 3 or 4 on Sunday. Rat, I agree with Charlie but if you do change it use Motul. Charlie, If you can't make it out for any races try to make it out for dinner and just hang out. I'll be grilling out and you know the food will be good. Sanchez, Good luck with the Basset. Bummer Matt... If it is any consolation, our A/C went out yesterday... It was a balmy 87 degrees when we woke up this morning... YUK. Waiting on an A/C repair guy to call right now... Thank goodness for the 2-10 warranty! |

Thanks for the info on the break juice Charlie. I will stick with the stock stuff. I think I may have to add a bit, or maybe even flush some and add... I can squeeze the lever a little further than I think it should (Just about to touching the grip). I'm concerned that I may get a bit spongy at the higher temps that it will see on the track. |
