hey my bike fell and i think the impact on my shifter stripped where the bolt screws into the bike. after briefly riding the bike the bolt came back out. i bought a new bolt same size grade8 steel and it to backs out after riding any suggestions |

tighten it up a bit more and maybe a lockwasher. Or, you could get a longer bolt and put a nylock on the other end as you may have ovaled the cast aluminum makingthe threads near useless. |

had the same problem...went thru 3 times of it falling out. Now I have it lock washerred and locknutted...it aint coming out again. |

One thing coolice knows about is safety wire. His safety wire is safety wired. Sorry Mike I couldn't pass it up! PS how do you safety wire the 'nut' on the seat? |

RED Loctite. The blue was not strong enough and mine kept backing out. Mark the location of the bolt head with a dot and look once in a while to make sure it is not backing out. The little plastic inserts tend to wear out, and I think they facilitate the bolt to back out when they are worn, just a theory. |
