Aaron, Remember last week I asked you about which pistons for the Millenium Cylinders. Well I called Mill. and said no problem to switch I just had to send the Wisecos back a they'd send me the Hurricanes. I hope to see you at Indy next week. I haven't talked with you since 3 Homecomings ago. Thanks for the advice. Ryan |

hehe The supertrapp that the owner of the shop in the pic punched a hole in back in Sept. btw Aaron, still in shop-envy mode over here on the East Coast. I don't think I'll be able to swing the dyno, esp. since my neighbors are a lot closer than yours, but as soon as the weather breaks I'm going to re-wire the electric in my garage so I can actually work on the bike after dark. |

Hello all. No luck in the electrical section of the board so I'm throwing the question out here. What is the best replacement battery for an X1? My has been cranky the last year and I don't think the trickle charger is going to help it last through the winter. Thanks in advance. Sid |

Still very stock...My '00 S3T -- Changed the air filter to K&N. Everything else is still stock, 100% (well, recalls). I am perfectly happy with it the way it is. Scott |

Thought ya'll want to know NEW MEXICO SENATOR BOWS TO PRESSURE FROM MOTORCYCLISTS, WITHDRAWS OUTRAGEOUS LEGISLATION-- PICKERINGTON, OHIO -- The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has announced that New Mexico state Sen. Allen Hurt (R-Waterflow) has informed the AMA that he will withdraw Senate Bill 239, which could have forced some motorcyclists to become organ donors. AMA leadership learned of Sen. Hurt’s intentions this afternoon in a message which read, in part: “You win ... I’m pulling New Mexico SB 239.” Late last Thursday, the AMA had expressed its outrage at SB 239, which, if it had passed, would have allowed the harvesting of organs from any motorcyclist who didn't wear a helmet and was declared brain dead as a result of an accident. “This victory demonstrates how powerful our voice can be when American motorcyclists speak together,” said Sean Maher, AMA Director of State Affairs. "When New Mexico state officials received more than 1,100 e-mails opposing SB 239, they got the message, and Sen. Hurt acted quickly to withdraw his proposal." The AMA organized opposition to the bill, urging motorcyclists to use the AMA Rapid Response Center -- part of the Association’s website, AMADirectlink.com -- to send a message to Hurt and the New Mexico Legislature’s leadership. |

Sometimes I wonder if 90% of politics is just some BS red herring that has been cooked up to fool people into thinking that politicians earn their keep, while the real problems receive little attention because they are difficult. |

There has been some references to the AMA's decision back in the early-80's to reduce the F1 limit from 750's to 500's. I was racing a H2R 750 2 stroke in that period and we were eagerly awaiting Eric B's RW750 to challenge the TZ's. The tires, suspension, and frames of that period could not handle the forces that came from the engine. Riders would come in with chunks missing from their tires, to be competitive you had to ride over the edge, it was too dangerous. AMA did the responsible thing by limiting it to 500cc. We were all hoping the RW could be re-worked to a 500cc but it was not to be. I do not believe the AMA "screwed" Eric. He was just a victim of circumstances. |

Just read the latest American Iron, great blurb on Team Elves(just too short) and they mentioned Nallin and Banke in an article on a Sportster/Buell mongrel bike .Good stuff. Still having a hard time finding parts and good info on my Derbi GPR 75,(its not a 50cc one as the bore is 47mm not the 40mm of the 50)if anybody has connections for this type of stuff let me know.I have e-mailed a ton of manufacturers and even the factory with almost no response. |
