Hi, Last Sunday morning I left my Uly outside of a Harbor Freight store. I came out put my helmet on and went to leave and found a had no front brake lever. It was sitting on the ground next to my bike. I had a tip over a few weeks earlier and suspect that it met the end of its life when I got off or maybe someone was squeezing the brake hard when I was in the store. I was just glad it was stationary. The day before I was in the mountains and it would not have been fun and could have caused me an accident. Riding 20 miles home though with just the rear brake was no fun. The reason I'm writing though is that when I started making calls to all the stores within 150 miles of me, no one had a brake handle and if I ordered one couldn't guarantee that I would have one before the 24th when I'm taking my bike to Maine for it to live for the summer and for me to visit I then went to the sponsors list and called Gainesville Florida Harley & Buell. I talked to Rick on the counter and he said that he had one, would physically check that it was in stock and give me a call if it wasn't. He asked that I call on Monday morning so that the shipping could be calculated correctly. I called back and told him that I was a badweatherbiker member on Monday and if there was a discount on it that I'd appreciate it. Well I got the handle last night with a discount and am real pleased with the whole experience with them. Keep them in mind when you need parts! |
