I want get a cam cover (aluminum) so I can polish it up and swap it out on my 2001 Buell M2. What years will work and can I use a Sporty cover??? I think I remember something about changes in 98-99 or whatever. So the ultimate question is what will fit with out any problem or modification. Thanks for your help. |

I believe all of the Sportster cam cover from 91 to 03 will work as will all of the cam covers off of tube frame Buells will work. What is wrong with polishing your current cam cover or is it chromed? KK |

In mid 99 the covers changed. You'd need one from mid-99 and up. I made the mistake of installing a "91-03" cam cover gasket on my 01, and my top end didn't like the fact that it wasn't getting enough oil. The oil passages are different. |
