Can any one tell me if this is a good deal on this Uly with 19K miles on it? With that amount of miles on it would I be looking at some maintenance expenses? The dealer did the 20K mile service and put new tires on, the oils have been changed, a new air cleaner added to the bike. They checked the fork fluid, brake fluids, inspected the belt, sprocket, brake pads, and changing gaskets on the sprocket & clutch cover if it was necessary. If they would go $5500 would it be a good deal? They said that they would sell it for $6K The bike has all 3 hard bags. I would need to have it shipped to me and that is going to cost about $400 Should I find something closer to home with less miles and or a newer bike? The price is well withing my budget. $400 for shipping is $400 I could put in the bike or on gear. I think it's a good deal. Appleton is a respected Dealer. 19K isn't enough mileage to even blink at; my '06 Uly had 34K on it when I traded it in, and it was running beautifully. I believe the Uly should go well over 100K without needing major servicing. Instead of shipping the bike, you should fly up to Appleton and ride the bike home. A fly and ride would be a great way to get a new bike. Personally, I think six grand is a good deal for an '06 Uly with only 19K on it. |

I am 1K miles from Appleton WI. I live in the Washington DC area. I wonder how much a one way flight would cost either from Dulles, National or BWI! Plus you have to figure gas and one night in a hotel |

My wife will not let me fly up and ride back. She does not know that I am looking a buying this bike. My brother has a 06 Uly and he said if he had the time if I purchased the plane ticket and paid for fuel he would fly up and bring it back. My wife works weekends and I must watch the kid's. I could do it during the week but I can't take the time off. He and the kids are going away for a few days once school lets out I could sneak off and do it then. I am going to get my self in to trouble. |

Gater, have you checked into the price of a flight to Appleton? I would be fun to ride your motorcycle home but it might also be more economical to just have it shipped. |

Well? According to the thread in the OP, "This bike has been sold & delivered on 6/13/2009." Did it stay in the family? |
