Well, my Buell "deluxe" tank bag is falling apart at the seams after 2 years of normal use. That makes it $75 per year for the use of a bag that fit perfectly but crap in quality. I'm thinking that I'd like to try Wolfman; heard good things about his stuff. Let's see your pictures of your tank bags and hear your reviews (any brand). |

My deluxe Buell bag also sh*t the bed after a year. Almost gave up on it, but I found a local alterations shop that put a new beefer zipper on it for $20. |

The triple tail bag has replaced the tank bag in my book. Holds more and is easer to get on and off. The tank bag made a nice cushion for my camera though. |

I'm in the same boat. Looks like a lot of people like the Wolfman bags. Anyone ever think of attaching a pelican case to the triple tail? |

I've got a pretty big Nelson-Rigg. I was a little concerned for a while that it was impeding air flow, so I clipped the ring on the front to the cross piece on the handle bars. It lifts the front and there's no indication there's a problem. I've only had it for a couple months, but it's worked well and is showing no signs of wear. |

I just installed a tour master cortech mini tank bag I got from competition accessories for about $63, its expandable and fits my uly great. I've only put about 250 miles on my uly since the install but so far I like it a lot. http://www.compacc.com/p.cfm/c/1310001/p/3092 |

Chase Harper seems to have 1st rate quality & the best customer service I have ever encountered. |

... but I found a local alterations shop that put a new beefer zipper on it for $20. That's what I need to do. The Deluxe is great except for that main zipper. The fit is the difference, I gave a brand new Tourmaster to my stepson because I couldn't make it work at all on my Uly. |

I've got a Marsee 20 liter bag that I've had for three years and still going strong. The only thing I've had a problem with is the map holder and it was replaced cheaply. Leaving it on all of the time made it brittle from sun exposure. |

I had the same problem with the factory deluxe bag. The zipper came apart at about 1 year old. I am using a Wolfman Explorer. I really like it. Here are a couple of pictures.

Yep, also had issues the Deluxe Tank Bag. Great fit, but just wasn't roomy enough. Also, it was a pain to try and see my GPS when riding (a non-motorcycle model Magellan). Lo and behold Laguna has a "GPS enabled" bag. For a few details, please see my review on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Firstgear-LAGUNA-EXP-TANK-TR 903/dp/B001KOHNHS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top). As for mounting the bag (which has suction cup, magnetic, and strap mounting options), I had to remove the air box and run the straps underneath, and use the suction cups as a back up. Did a trip to Vegas on I-15 last weekend doing around 90 mph with semi-nasty cross winds in the mountains; the bag was stable for the most part, but the mount was solid. The GPS was readable throughout and the cell phone compartment allowed me to screen calls and text messages. All-in-all, very nice bag. The only complaint/issue (again) is the difficulty in mounting the dang thing. If anyone has this bag (or something similar) and has any suggestions for easier/better installation, I'm all ears. Good luck in the search. Russ |

Yup, my zipper as well, pretty disapointed for the money...going to try to have it fixed. |

Some good options here, I'll look into them. Thanks for the input. I called a local gal who worked on my leathers; she referred me to a couple of shoe repair shops. So far, they're quoting me $45 and up for a new zipper. I'm going to have them patch it up for now, a whopping $8. |

My deluxe bag's zipper also failed in less than a year, I think that I'll also try to get it fixed. Just wanted to be part of the group. |

The Firstgear bag looks nice. Plenty of storage and easy to carry off of the bike. Thanks Signal! |
