I am new to riding one of these bikes and am buying an '03 XB9sl so please forgive me if this is a dumb question but I was thinking of sport touring tires Avon storm's, or Michelin pilot road 2's after the powers from the original owner on it wear out. the storm's seem awesome to me with the variable contact patch idea but I worry that it will sqwirm, but two compounds sounds great to. any thoughts on these tires? I just know that 3k to 4k miles will have me changing tires twice a season, I mainly commute with (highway to downtown 50/50 split) it rain or shine so I know I need good wet grip. I balance it out with a spirited ride and a few highway trips now and again. I am also planning a road trip and don't want to flat spot new tires either. any advise? |
