Well damnit, I rolled over 6400 miles on my way back from Homecoming and the front left turn signal went out. I didn't even notice it until my better half came riding up beside me on her XB12Scg and pointed to my signal light flashing so rapidly... The front left went out and I just replaced the rear right one last week. I hadn't had any issues until just recently. Never heard of the fronts going, anyone else with the same issue? |

I never heard of a front going out either. I guess someone is bound to have something fail at least some of the time... |

Hurray for warranty! And here's the best part. I seriously don't give a rats ass about it, I'd HAPPILY pay for it myself, the bike was rock steady for a 1600 mile road trip and I loved every minute of it. The ride was smooth and the "touring" setup I had worked perfectly. Time for the 6200 mile service now! Thanks for the reply Ponti1. |

I had the FL go out about 50 miles after I bought it. It would work then stop until I tapped it; eventually that stopped helping. Dealer repaired it under warranty. |

Geforce, ya got any pics of that touring setup anywhere? Not sure if I've seen yours. |

Ya, it's nothing special really. I bought the Buell saddle bags and tail bag and slapped them on. They held up very well, and didn't damage the bike at all after I removed them. We did encounter a monsoon the last 100 miles and even with the covers and rain gear we both got soaked. MOST of the gear in the bags remained dry with the covers on, but I could have done a better job of water proofing it. The only other addition would be my "Ghetto Garmin" I mounted a Colorado 300 to the left of my IC with zip ties. Worked real well until we hit 294 in Chicago and at a toll it fell down a bit so I had to hold it to view it the rest of the way. Today is picture and video day so soon I should have plenty of crap on here from homecoming. |

Took the front clip off today to check some wiring out on the turn signal... and I found the source of my problem. Disconnected wire! Ha! Plugged her back in and applied a small jibby of di-electric silicone grease and she's back good as new. |

Cool...Glad to hear it was something simple! I think my touring setup is similar to yours, though mine's only on while on a trip. Buell saddlebags, deluxe tank bag, and a fairly large HD bag that lays over the passenger seat.
