Just wanted to let everyone know how much fun we all had up there, it was a great time! For those of you who met me and took some time out to absorb some of my sillyness *I had the loud 1125 with the D&D on it* again thanks! Becca and I are already excited about going again next year! Maybe next year I will have the planning incorporated to make a track day at RA before or after the events.
Geforce, I saw you or should I say I heard your motorcycle at factory on Friday. That was the loudest bike there, but sounded sweet! I saw the Missouri plates but never got a chance to say high. I'm originally from Missouri but have lived in the Chicago area for 31 years now.
Whew! Just got back home. What an amazing trip! After 2401 miles I think my ass is gonna be sore for the next week, but I'm more in love with my bike than ever before.
It was great to meet everyone this year! A big THANK YOU to Adam (Boney95) for giving me a place to stay. I doubt that Homecoming would have been doable this year without his hospitality.
All the pics I took are in my Homecoming Journey thread on the Tales board.
Pkforbes87, it was good to meet you and see your bike in person. You did a great job on that X1. I ended up taking off on Saturday morning in order to be back at work Monday morning.
>>>I sure as heck hope they release the dates sooner than this year!
I have lectured them for the last 3 years about that. Let's face it, the folks that HD had doing the Buell stuff were fence stradlers with limited resources at best and did what they could with what they had.
I've long maintained that you immediately chop off 25% of the participants if you announce the date much past January. Part of the reason is that Buells big market is NOT the United States and many of the Asian, South American, European and Australians need to reserve holiday well in advance.
We'll see if they learn. There will be a new group at the helm for next year and some exciting stuff on the way.
I've got tons of pics and videos to upload, but I've been super busy from the minute I got home. My wife is getting her Master's degree in teaching this Saturday, so I have a honey-do list a mile long. I'll try to get everything uploaded tonight
It was great meeting all the BadWebbers! I thought I was a Buell enthusiast before...now I am hooked for life!
20xb12s04, nice getting to know you and Gene. Thanks for the lead on the old quonset factory building!
Good to meet you too MeTheD! Nice to see Ft_Bstrd's old bike found a great home!
Does anybody have video of when we pulled into the Museum on thursday night?
Hey, just put the "post pictures and videos" on the top of that list. Easy, no?
My son would LOVE to see the video of us pulling in to the HD Museum. We were right behind Barney and Eslick. He kept looking back and telling me, "Dad, I've never seen so many bikes follow us before".
Yeah, sometimes us left coasters forget that there are places with no helmet law. We had just watched a bunch of H-D riders cruise by with no helmets on. Then come the Buell riders, all with lids
