Sorry if this a re-post. A friend of mine sent it, felt a need to pass it on...B The Hair Cut... One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door. Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door. Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut. And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it. |

Old man, I'm getting very tired of all the political posting. You ride a Buell, yes? That is what this forum is all about. |

Yes Blake, I too have been tired of it for such a very long time. I kept my mouth shut for years, but the one sided slant here was too much. I know that I am out-numbered by an enormous margin and am triple teamed always. But I can only hear so much crap, unanswered, that I at least have to put my 2 cents in. |

You see, you earned such a rap that people assume it was you! Anyway I like your comments Old Man, I don't agree with everything you say but it is good to see multiple sides of an issue. |

Wait, it just hit me. Since he ONLY addressed me. (and out of the blue) I think Blake would like ME to quit the political posting. It's his house, I suppose that I should comply. It's probably for the best. I really irritate the usuals. They've been used to having everything their own way. No room for a non-rightwinger. Then the usuals could get on with their bashings. I could get banned. |

Old_man, like I said b4 I always enjoy reading your opinions, even though I don't always agree. You can't form an educated opinion without learning both sides. Back to subject-funny joke. |

>>>Anyway I like your comments Old Man, I don't agree with everything you say but it is good to see multiple sides of an issue. I'd be in that same category. I seldom agree but enjoy hearing thoughtful opposing opinions. Always fascinates me how folks from varying backgrounds and experiences can see the same situations from so many points of view. Shame that many younger folks, along with the ability to pick up and read a book, also lost the ability to debate a position without threatening to come to someone's house and kick their ass. I enjoy the discussion and the thought it provokes. But then . . . . when you hang around Columbia even Old Man's views look radical right wing.

Shame that many younger folks, along with the ability to pick up and read a book, also lost the ability to debate a position without threatening to come to someone's house and kick their ass. Naaahhhh, that's only on the internet. The younger folks today would likely not know how to make a fist, and wouldn't want to injure their texting fingers anyway. |

There's two things I won't talk about in an online forum; religion and politics but I do enjoy reading both sides yous guys debate. And I haven't been to a barber since I bought my first pair of clippers in '92. |

In parts of rural Southland, a big night out used to start downtown watching haircuts. Now they face the other way and watch youths driving Subarus up and down the main street, discharging ridiculous volumes of gas from their twin turbochargers and enhanced waste gates as they pass. qwishhhhhhhh. qwishhhhhhh. qwishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. |

I'm getting very tired of all the political posting. You ride a Buell, yes? That is what this forum is all about. I've been tired of this political posting for months! The election is over with and the American people spoke and I think they spoke very loud and clear! In just 3 1/2 years we'll have another election and another chance to speak again. I hope everyone does their speaking at the ballot box and NOT on a motorcycle forum board!!! Okay, now back to talking about my favorite subject, motorcycles, especially American made BUELLS!!! |

Heck- I clicked on this thinking someone may have been to Leeds, AL. The best thing about Badweb (besides BUELL) is the absurdist slant so many of youn's often take. Politics gets stale real quick, but a quick mind never gets stale. We Buellers are all rolling stones... I love knowing I'm not the only one who passes for normal... Keep the humor going.... IDEA: Blake, Court, Jeremy, custodians, et al- could there be a way to track, statistically, the percentage of stale/political threads vs. the most active, absurd, and humorous threads? I'd bet we'd see the most good humor around March Badness, Homecoming, and Buelltoberfest... |
