4 in the top 10 (According to early results at @the wire). Congrats to: Taylor (4th), Danny (6th), Shawn (7th), and Mike (9th). It appeared that a late caution mixed things up. And Taylor moved down off the box. But still a good showing by all. And 4 in the top 10 is Great. Really Good to see that Shawn was ok after a last lap spill in Superbike. When it appeared he was pushing for a top ten spot. |

Well Done All! Hopefully those that crashed are actually all ok. And I hope the damage to Shawn's Superbike is minimal. He's on a very tight budget. Heck of a nice guy too. |

Yes, good job to all. Keep collecting those points Danny! In bad race conditions, finishing and collecting points is WAY better then crashing out. Consistency like this will pay off later in the year for the Championship points race! |

Nice job by Shawn to take the 15th spot in Superbike. That puts him at about the half-way point in a very competitive field. With a little more work and power, hopefully he can break into the 10-15 range. I noticed that Josh Bryan wasn't at RA, and that got me curious as to whether or not Latus had ever approached Shawn. It seems like he and Taylor Knapp would make a great team of young, talented rider with wiser, older sage - sort of like Eslick and Barnes. |

Did you know that Shawn was dicing with Tommy Hayden in Supebike race 1 for 10th position. He pushed a little to hard and crashed on the second half of the last lap! Really too bad. A top 10 in Superbike would have been stellar. The damage was small enough so it could be rectified in the 20 minutes between Superbike and Daytona Sportbike. Shawn is indeed a tough cookie! |

Believe Shawn runs separate machines in the two classes. But Shawn is an incredible Rider & tougher than nails. Hope enthusiasts who saw him gave monetary support & procured one of his shirts. He REALLY could use assistance. |

He had only one race ready 1125R at RA. The other bike you may have seen there is a newly acquired (stock exhaust and belt drive). His other race prepped bike is at this writing at Bartels in LA |

Slo.... One bike for the two classes at RA. Same bike did the 200, the double at Barber, and the double at Road America, plus some time at the races out west. Engine has never been out of the chassis since Daytona where it came out of box. Doerman has it correct on "the bike". Shawn is a soldier... insanely focused, and a good friend. Mitsu and the rest make every nono second worth the effort. (Message edited by what_the on June 08, 2009) |
