I have just ordered a jardine cf can and protune fuel card. I found the folowing quote and have the following question. Does this mean that you can install a jardin can, a protune card, the k&n filter and just press a few buttons on the card and you're good to go. No dyno tuning necessary????

i found this quot in an archived tread:
quote:
.5 increments is for Jardine exhaust with K&N...with the pro-tune 3 fuel card you can adjust modes and fuel increment in .5 steps. I have had no problems with my first prototype installed by Mark Dobeck himself. easy to tune and not a map or piggyback, just a fueling card with modes(yellow/red used mostly).

Making close to 150 RWHP is not bad....! dynoed by Jardine. I will post more results with busy work schedule and jardine when i get a chance.

the people that developed the pro tuner used his bike to test it so it does have dyno time.

hes just saying hes addng .5 increments since the k&n install

would that mean if i just add .5 increments and have a jardine can, the card and a k&n i wont need to dyno it?

well i dont this set up but i can tell u that youll be able to put a lot more fuel in it.

im not the best person to answer ur questions. im partial to another tuning aid because its better. but if u just want to add fuel to make it run better then the ur tuning card should work just fine. just add the fuel to it and youll really notice how awsome this bike is when it isnt so lean. a totally different machine. makes u feel bad for people that dont take advantage of it.

maybe i should clarify that he has had the pipe and tuning card on for awhile before the kn came out. so he dynoed it to get it right then a couple months went by and kn came out so now hes saying hes goin to add fuel in small increments. but knowledge from people that know is when u add the kn filter it doesnt mean u should add fuel, some say it needs less fuel in some spots etc. so u should really just go and get some base line runs to see were ur a/f is and tweak it, then go back and see what uve done. then after that tweak it some more. this is probably ur best option because not many people or should i say dyno operators know about or even used ur set up. so if they charge by the hour then ull be screwed.
