I don't like snow, really. It isn't especially hot today, but the sun is always so intense. I refer to Florida as the easy-bake oven state. It's the light(sun) that cooks you... It is pretty pleasant.I may have to go for a little ride later today... |

Henrik . . . .. . there I was, feeling nice and quiet and pretty much satisfied (the weather's awful, but the M2 is in major subassemblies, so that's OK), cuppa joe in hand, then I read THAT! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH I've been signed up to be a donor for what seems like forever, but that's just the stoopidest thing I've heard in a long far! |

Henrik . . . . . why are you harassing me so? If I remember right, I was reasonably pleasant to you when we met at Uke's last year? ;-} |

Yes you were, Bomber Sorry. Just one of those mornings I guess. "Missery wants company" and all that ... Henrik (feeling better now - except for Pammy's taunting ) |

>>>>Henrik . . . . . why are you harassing me so? If I remember right, I was reasonably pleasant to you when we met at Uke's last year? Bomber: Makes not differnce, he's this way to EVERYBODY. Road_Thing caught his on a rare night of gregariousity. Henrik is caustic, sullen and angry....GOD BLESS HIM! Henrik, when you leaving the hospital? I've nothing to day (after lunch) today and am headed on a photo-recon mission in SoHo. Wanna meet and shove pedestrians after work? Court |

Wow, I guess I got lucky--Henrik was truly the very archetype of gregariousity (gregariousness?) on the night of our dumpster-diving dining experience. And that was BEFORE I ordered wine and picked up the dinner tab! Henrik-thanks for posting the Monster story, that hit home for me (except for the part about being a moto-journalist and hero rider in my youth). I also love the word "scrofulous!" r-t |

Bomber: Ignore the man behind the curtain and trust me...after that bottle of wine, both Thang and the Evil Dr. both proclaimed themselves "heros". It was only my humble, soft-spoken, self-deffacating personality that prevented an incident; ever seen a person coverd in Gnochhi? I just spoke to Henrik. He's vile, sullen and nasty and cynical. Since he's having a good day, I'm going to go meet him. Film at 8. By the way Bomber....I think you need to come to Gotham. It'd give ya an appreciation for what the Thang had to endure. Court (unable to leap tall buildings any longer, but capable of parallel parking a Ford F250 in a 6' parking space in Brooklyn) |

Courting "It was only my humble, soft-spoken, self-deffacating personality " not sure I know anyone like that . . . .they certainly DO NO export them from Kansas, that I know fer sure . . . . . I'd like to see you land the Ford in a 6-foot parking space! sounds like fun (in both senses of the word) . . . .yep, we (brook and me) DO need to come to NYC, but, as she's getting excited about Bonnie, I'm not gonna confuse the girl by offering what might be seen as alternatives (as opposed to additives) at this point . . . side's, since thang and me are both Mcnamara scholars, if HE can stand up to the strain, I'm willing to give it a shot! |

Do we know this year's Bonneville dates? My autumn itinerary is rapidly filling, and I'd like to leave a salty spot if I can. Bomber, you and all the other McNamara Fellows in the crowd might appreciate the irony in this--does the place named Sapa ring any bells? Mrs_Thing and I are contemplating a little eastern expedition later this year... r-t |

Let's get some friendly illegal gambling going here....I'm in a friskly and devious mood. I could used a good "set a Dane up to be framed" sort of challenge. Court |

Court: Do you know the story about the incurable gambler and the job interview? Incurable Gambler goes on a job interview. He's finished his preliminary visit with the HR weenie, and has been passed on to the prospective Big Boss for the real interview. It becomes immediately apparent that IG and BB are not compatible and that IG will not be offered the position. On his way out, IG offers BB a bet: a hundred bucks says BB has hemorroids. BB says, no, he doesn't so IG says, "OK, prove it--stick this banana up your southern orofice and, if it comes out un-grooved by hemorroidal tissue, I lose. If it's been broached like a rifle barrel, you lose." BB thinks this is a little strange, but he knows his own rectum and he could use the hundred, so he agrees. The banana comes out smooth, IG pays up and leaves, smiling. The next day, the HR weenie is following up with BB on the outcome of the interview. BB tells HRW that, not only did our boy not get the job, but BB took a hundred bucks off him on a sucker bet, and tells the story of how he hid the banana. HRW immediatelly breaks into tears. BB asks what's the deal, and HRW tells him "Before I sent him in to you, that SOB bet me a thousand bucks he'd have you sticking bananas up your a$$ before the interview's over!" The point being, I have Henrik's phone number. How big a bet are we talking about? r-t |

Okay....I loose. Henrik, while explaining to BuellieDan that he and I at least agree the "rare and exotic limted edition" coffees are likely as "rare" as cabs in NYC, pooh-poohs my Mega-Mocha Somethingorother while, and he should know better, snarfs down a Bannana (note tie to previous RT tale) nut bread loaded with every preservative known to mankind....

Has anyone got a photo of the top of a piston? (Thunderstorm motor) I was looking at my pistons with a bore scope and thought I had a hole in the front one. Looking closer, it appears that there's an arrow indented into each piston. I guess this is normal, but it freaked me out for awhile since the piston tops are carboned (Is "carboned" a word?) up a bit and the arrow looks just like a big divot (at least through the bore scope) A real photo might ease my worries... Thanks, ALSO: Who, online, sells the 10R12 plugs? I live overseas and have to buy everything through the mail...Unless I want to pay about 4 times the price for stuff. Are the ones that AM Sportbike (or the other guys) the same? They list a different part number. Rob |
