I can certainly connect with you at the corner of Eola and NY at 7:30AM on Friday to ride up to the Sunrise. Kurt should be with me so you can ID us by the only two Buells at the same spot at the same time in Aurora. I live off of 34 just a little east of Eola so this is a simple connect and go. Looking forward to the ride and meeting you.

All Members,
Remember our June meeting has been MOVED a day early which would be tomorrow Wednesday June 3rd at 7:00pm at Illinois Harley. I'm sure that Homecoming will be hot topic of discussion at the meeting as well as some other upcoming events. Lets see a good showing for tomorrow.

Also about the meeting tonight: Paul had volunteered to lead an after meeting ride but he won't be able to make it due to work. If anyone wants to step up and lead the ride (weather permitting), feel free. I'm 50-50 on riding / driving to the meeting tonight. |

Thanks to all that I rode with to Homecoming earlier today. I had a fun time and really enjoyed the ride up and back. Have not done much group riding (hope it did not show too much...) but plan to participate in more rides with WC2 as the summer goes on.
Again, thanks for including me on the ride, hope to see you at the next (and my first) meeting. |

All,
Well I am pleased to announce the creation of another Windy City Club Race night to be held Friday, July 10th 2009 at Addison, IL. This will also serve as our July Windy City Club meeting as well; you do NOT have to race in order to attend the meeting you can just arrive for the meeting and leave or stay and watch the races. However Chicago Indoor Racing has asked me to come up with some numbers so they can set us up accordingly with a meeting space and other facilities. So please respond to this e-mail or send one to Warbirdz81@aol.com telling me Racing and Meeting, or Meeting Only so I can get them official numbers right away. I'm sure that C.I.R. will accommodate any that say "Ney" to racing now but change their minds come July 10th at the track. The WCC is using this night as our qualifier as well for putting a club team together for the Car/Motorcycle Club Invitational event is September; the best racers from July 10th will be asked join our WCC team to compete against other car clubs from around the region and hopefully some other motorcycle clubs as well.
Where: Chicago Indoor Racing, Addison
When: July 10th; time TBA upon final booking. Based upon final group numbers.
Price: 80.00$ per racer= 3-15 lap heat races, and 1-30 lap final for those that qualify well in the previous heat races
What to do next: PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT NEXT AVAILABLE CONVENIENCE LETTING ME KNOW EITHER-YES Racing and Meeting or MEETING ONLY. I need to get our group numbers together. Warbirdz81@aol.com. Brinnutz- I didn't get up to Homecoming. Went home after drag racing. Unless someone else led the hill climb it didn't happen this time. We'll git'em next year.
Kurt- I'm in for meeting and racing. Looking forward to it. Heather may want to join us for both, will keep you posted.

All,
I just received our official contract from Chicago Indoor Racing; we've got an official meeting room from 6p to 8pm. However; I am in agreement that we should keep our meeting start time at 7:00pm. Our price per person has been lowered to 70.00$ a person! Shortly after 8pm we will have our safety meeting and info video with the track manager then get suited up. Racing begins at 9pm.
I'm still looking for more members or even non members to confirm with me because if we get 10 or more drivers we get one driving position free of charge. They've also comping us the meeting room.
I'm just needing more people signed up in general just so we can get the group rate and I don't get financially pinched.

Thank you everyone for following up with me regarding our off-site combined WCC July meeting/Race Night 2 at Chicago Indoor Racing Addison. We've got all the racers we need to make this a fantastic night of racing and have a great July meeting too. Here's the schedule provided by CIR for our event:
Friday July 10th, 2009
7p-8p: July WCC Club Meeting in either Hill or Hawthorn Room
8p-9p: Meeting with Track Manager; Suiting up in Locker Rooms
9p-???:Racing on either track 6 or 7
Drinking in the CIR bar afterwords?...
Everything is being held at:

This should be my last posting on this unless anyone has any questions regarding the event I don't want to...
