Deal's Gap HSTA/KC MOB/SLAB, July 18 - 20 We can begin to make our reservations as follows: Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort...1.800.889.5550...Closed for the season but you can sometimes catch them there doing their mail order processing...Mention that you're with HSTA...They have a very limited number of rooms (about 15) so...Well, you get the idea that if you want to stay at DGMR you'd better get on your horse... http://www.dealsgap.com/ Tapoco Lodge...1.800.822.5083...About a mile from DGMR south on 129...They are also closed for the season and you will be asked to leave your contact info...This is the place where we buy our BEER!...Also a limited number of rooms...They have a good restaurant on site that closes very early... http://www.tapocolodge.com/ Fontana Village Resort...1.800.849.2258...About 6 miles from DGMR on 28 and the "nicest" of the three...A pretty good restaurant is on site... http://seventhside.com/vhosts/fontanavillagecom/webpages/index.php Plans are to have a hotdog & chili cookout on Friday evening and BBQ Saturday evening at DGMR...Their "new" restaurant will probably not be ready in time for us... Please acquire a Tennessee and North Carolina map and bring them to Third Twosday at Malone's and I will mark off some suggested roads... See Ya! Bob |

PARTLY SUNNY...HIGH OF 55!!! WOW!!! Tom Teriffic is mapping out a route that will take us west for a unique lunch stop at "Grandma Ruby's"...If you're interested in dual sport or dirt donking you need to make this ride because you're going to get a preview of our new MO-SIL HSTA off-road facility, although there will be no off-roading this weekend... Grandma Ruby's menu this weekend is coffee, hot chocolate, sodas, water and homemade beef stew...If you need a veggie diet please let me know... It would greatly help if we knew about how many were planning on riding so please post your intent yere...Also, if you can't ride but can drive (Sue!!!) bring your Bowling Green Bomb to CVPS and meet us at Grandma Ruby's for lunch... Remember we leave from CVPS at 1000 Saturday, March 1st... See Ya! Bob |

DAve, I use Microsoft Image Composer that came bundled with FrontPage '98. I know they replaced it with something else, though I'm not sure if it's sold separately. As to how it's done, it's a matter of chipping away at what's not wanted. There's a pull-down that lets me blow it up (usually 700%) that makes it easier to be more precise with the cut. The image is saved in their format (.mic) which allows you to go back in and continue to chip away, as doing it does takes some time to get around the outline of a bike. Once I'm satisfied(or just had enough) I can save it as a .jpg. I've never seen PhotoShop, but I would think it's basically the same. Hope that helps -- let me know if you've got one you'd like done. Hey John, meant to ask if this is yours: if so, can you send me the BIG copy? Had to go back in the archive to find it (plus it's great to see the cloth impaired bikinis again). STL made the network news tonight with the barricades going up around the Arch -- damn! Snowin' out there -- wonder if they'll call off work? ha! Off to dreamland. |

John, You know..we were talking to Justin at High country last weekend, and he was telling us that the smiley face they did on that commercial, was broken up into four pieces and they have taken it to several shows for a display...hehe OH, and I have an announcement to make...We are OFFICIALLY a full line Buell dealer WOOHOO Might get to see the first XB's in MArch. Was told we're only getting about 6 units this year. So now I guess I really gotta make sure that things come up to "Hooligan standards" up front, hehe. Our salesman has nothing against Buells, so that helps alot. Also..I'm pretty sure I'll be making the Gap trip this year. Sam and I are planning on maybe sending our sh!t out there ahead of time, so that Bob doesn't have to pack our junk this time Do you think they would mind, Racerboy? I ordered one piece leathers this week. We would like to do some track days at road america. Would any of you slabbers like to join us along with the Waterloo bunch?? What about some Arkansas weekend excursions?? Meet in the middle, and head south? Suggestions, comments, please We had 7 people show up for our weekly bench racing session...a couple of new(er) faces showed. There is supposed be at least 2 more people showing up next week I think this is going to be an exceptional summer...can't wait to get my frame back *SIGH* That's about all that's happening over here in the KC MOB camp.....

Hey that's great news FrAnk! Wouldn't it be cool if your dealership became one of the premier 'go to' Buell dealerships? Where are you getting leathers at? Here at the track days at Gateway, you can wear either leathers or Aerostich. Did you consider the Aerostich? You could look like a Power Ranger like those other idiots that wear those costumes. Look under the Yankee Beemers logo here: http://www.aerostich.com/isroot/riderwearhouse/DirectPages/coverie.htm DAve |
