Good news for Buell: By these definitions, Buells are NOT "High Risk" motorcycles:

1) The fairing does NOT cover the sides of the engine

2) The muffler is NOT placed at the rear and angled up

3) It does NOT have two disc brakes on the front wheel

4) The rear wheel is NOT driven by a chain

So good news for Buell in the Province of Quebec! They can sell to all those Under-25s looking for a good sportbike after all!

Oh yea thats right, you can't kill yourself on a Goldwing!

Out of that list, the only one on there that applies to Buell is no center stand.

That power ratio has HP, I thought the metric police would have required KW.

"No center stand" applies to every overweight, underpowered cruiser on the market too. Damn! I KNEW those things were dangerous!

The guys writing the rules obviously don't know what they're talking about. That's what happens when pencil pushers get involved in something they know nothing about. The entire premise is flawed. There's no such thing as a "high risk" motorcycle, only high risk riders. If they implement this, they'll see a huge surge in the number of "low risk" bike accidents, and SAAQ will be left scratching their heads.

in other words(frenchy i guess) bikes designed after 1978.

All those items could be ignored if the manufacturers put a "caution" label on.
