I know its beaten to death in the archives but I'm running out of time. I have need of a copy of the documentation that comes with the plates, preferably in pdf format, so I can apply for collector status for my bike ASAP. Anyone help me out? |

Insurance is compulsory in British Columbia. Bare minimum for the Buell costs about $1200 a year. A vehicle more than 25 years old in original condition can be registered as a collector vehicle and insurance then is about $140/year (but you can't drive it to work. Pleasure use only.) My 1982 BMW R65LS is in that category. One can get "collector" status with a vehicle only 15 years old if there were less than 1500 made of a model in a particular year. I'm trying to get the paperwork in in time to get the plate for the S2 Roundup and haven't time to hit my local dealer for some official letter regarding build quantities but I think a copy of the Signature paperwork, even if its not for my bike particularly, may be adequate.
