About time they did. Of course I sold my TV when I moved and haven't bellied up for a new one yet! 99 channels and nothing on! |

Yeah, to provide same day coverage for all those "race fans who aren't watching any more". |

Ralph Shaheen announced it during the second SBK race this afternoon. It will begin with the Laguna Seca race. |

We've got to be extra careful not to put "spoilers" in titles now. I think I can hold off reading the results for a few hours and then it will be like watching it live. Here are the details: http://moto-racing.speedtv.com/article/speed-set-t o-return-to-same-day-coverage-of-ama-pro-road-raci ng/ And it doesn't look like we're losing anything. I was afraid if they did something like this they'd knock off the coverage of Sportbike, but it looks like the coverage will still be complete. |

Wow, big improvement. Half the broadcast start times are at midnight. |

Not at all. Just don't know how starting the show at midnight is that much of an improvement. What they should do is like espn does with the nhra races. Show Saturdays races on sunday, then daytona sport bike on tape delay leading up to showing superbike live. Just my opinion, as I dvr 90% of the shows now anyway cuz I've usually got other things goin on Saturday nite. |

DVR is the way to go. I'm on the West Coast, so it would be 9 for me, but I'll record it anyway like F1, MotoGp, world Super Bike, etc. |

I always wondered why I could watch (which I don't) 3 repeat episodes of "Pimp my ride" during prime time, but the replay of the race was a "one and done" at 10:00 on a Saturday night! It's not like they were struggling to find airtime! |

Even though it will be played 9:00pm here in California , my guess is they want to edit it to some higher standard than "Live" allows.I agree another episode of "Pinks" or"Pimp my Ride" is just fodder for the Nascar masses. Maybe they will do some nice edits and Interviews to bring the newbies up to speed and drop those 5 minute "Extenz" adds that they keep marketing to the bike crowd. Dont they realize this is a Sportbike crowd , not a "Nascrud" crowd????

I watched the F1 World superbike races from Millers last Sunday on Speed channel from my home here in Utah and I believe from the time of the races there and air time that they were slightly delayed, maybe 3-4 hours. Enough time to edit out all the junk and add commercials. Air time here was 3:00 pm and coverage was great. Probably almost as good as being there in the high desert heat. F1 World supersport airs today, here, at 10:00 am. which also ran Sunday. Good to see same day coverage of any venue especially AMA Daytona sportbike.
