I asked the same question and the response I got indicated that those prices were through track day organizations(ie. NESBA). I would love to get a set for that price without being a member. Hopefully someone will speak up with a good deal ... hint, hint |

Give these guys a shout, they have done the best for me: http://twobrotherstires.com/ Ernie and Tim have taken care of me for the last 3 sets of M/C tires and a set of ATV tires. Later Neil S. |

THAT IS A DEAL!!!!!! Too bad I don't run the PP 2CT. You don't have a set of Pilot Roads 2 for that price (wishful thinking ;+})? |

www.swmototires.com Usually where I buy mine. I've not found a place to consistently get better deals on Pirelli Corsa III. I'd love one, though. At one of the tracks around here, just 3 track days and I've shreadded the left side of the tire to the wear bar, and still have practically a new tire in the center and right side. That's gettin' expensive. |

The Cycle Gear is for Pirelli DIABLO, not Diablo Corsa III, btw. The regular Diablo are OK on the street, but are not trackday worthy, IMHO. They melt and get greasy under the 1125r's power. For what it's worth, I've run about 10 sets of regular Diablo on my 1125r and find I get around 1800 miles out of them on the street, much better than the 1100 or so I would get out of a set of Corsa III. But, the difference in confidence and feel is dramatic. The Corsa III is a much better tire. btw: I don't commute on mine, so it's only sporting riding that I'm doing. |

How does that no-mar work for you? Is it as easy as it looked at those demos they used to do at the AMA races? |

> Is it as easy as it looked at those demos they used to do at the AMA races? No, but it's reasonable. It's definitely a practice thing... if you have the technique down, it's easy. If you don't, it's really, really hard. Oh, and when in doubt, use more lube. Still one of the better $800 I've ever spent. I go through a lot of tires, and being dependent on someone else to change them sucks. |

At a minimum, I go through 4 sets of M/C tires a year for myself. WIth ATV and B-in-laws with multiple bikes and friends, I change ~15 sets of tires a year. My No-mar has paid for itself. When I have been practicing, it really is as easy as Sue makes it look. I figure in just changing one set of tires I save $50 in actual costs and 3 hours of my time/ travel. Just ask Garrett, I changed his last Saturday and changing the tires was the quickest part of the whole process. Time2Ride. Neil S. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, my rims NEVER get scratched and my rotors are never dinged or bent. How much is that worth???? (PRICELESS!!!) (Message edited by ccryder on May 29, 2009) |
