To those of you wishing for a "new" Blast- here it is (kind of):

http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2009/05/28/mac-m otorcycles-a-new-british-motorcycle-company/

These are actually pretty dang cool. Here's one variation; there are several:

Interesting thought- maybe Harley is making Blast engines available because they expect to have a surplus of them in a couple of months? Hmmm...

They should use the 984, those designs are fricken hot. I really like the PeaShooter.

Is the "Roarer" a hardtail, or have they hidden the rear suspension somehow?

There's definitely a spring back there, but I can't quite figure the rear suspension:

Hootowl if you look the drawing shows the hidden shock. Also look just forward of the rear tire.

You can see the spring coils

Thanks, I see it now. Still...what's the bar at the top for? Is that the pivot point? I'd sure like to see a more detailed drawing, or better yet, see one in person.

I think it does pivot at the top. The lower part of the swing arm is attached to the rear hub by a pivoting bar. Very interesting, and as far as I know, unique.

Their website has some design sketches that show the shock more clearly, but no additional details on the suspension. Here's their URL:

it looks like a 4 link design from mountain bikes. with a floating brake setup.

Cool looking bikes. On the Roarer that exposed shock is in front of the rear tire, seems like a bad idea though. Wouldn't it be better to extend the fender down to shield the thing?

Looks like maybe a linkage under the seat for the top of the shock too, like Crackhead said, similar to mountain bike designs.

...maybe I should wait a little longer on getting a entry level bike for the old lady... I like that Peashooter too.

so.... they take them from E Troy... Build them in England.... and I bet the NTSB, EPA, DOT and Customs wont let them back in the country to be sold to Americans.

Sexy bikes, I would like to see some weights and tech sheets.... like a 602 upgrade ; )

If the motor and EFI is untouched and the right reflectors, etc. are on it, I bet it would be legal to import.

the rear suspension design just looks beefy, as long as the tubes are the right wall thickness it should be decently light and have better suspension reaction to braking and acceleration forces.

i think there is one pivot point below the muffler, one just above the front cog and 2 pivot points around the upper seat tube....... but with that suspension design the rear shock could be completely hidden under the gas tank.....

These look like they were rendered in some modelling program.
I want to see images of someone riding one.

Also, The bike could be sold here as a kit.
Just add engine!

I think the only thing I don't like about these bikes is there is SO much space being taken up by the carb and air cleaner... There's enough room for a rear cylinder, which would sound like a much more fun bike to me.

I wonder if they have taken vibration into account. They're obviously hanging the motor from the head, just as Buell does. Wonder how it is mounted?

Is the oil also in the frame like the Blast? I don't see a bag.

Are these real motorcycles, or artists's conceptions?

I sure hope they can meet EPA for sound so they can be imported. With the exhausts depicted, and the lack of an airbox, I have reservations about whether they will pass muster. I wish them well though.
