I always had to laugh when Ponch or John went dirt biking on their bikes chasing someone across the desert and ended up jumping ditches and ravines. If I had even become a motor-cop I would probably not have lasted long due to my wearing a non-regulation helmet. I've been tempted to ask a motorcop about their helmet in the past, but at the time it was more important to keep the mood light if you get my drift. The places up here in Waukesha and NewBerlin usually have Spring helmet clearances as they try to unload their old stock as the new season's stuff arrives. Got my boots that way at a heavy discount. Thinking about getting another pair of boots with the removable side-plates so's I can drag them and not worry about the wear so much. |

>>>Helmet-hair is always better than road-rash.<< That may be true Mike, but you've never seen me with Helmet-hair, really scary !! I honestly don't hang around with Harley friends that would give me a hard time, they NEVER did. As a matter of fact there were two of us who wore full face helmuts, both being a new riders. But we BOTH determined, although your right it's not so safe, there were a few days it was soooo HOT and we personally couldn't stand the helmuts we had on, that we were going to get the 1/2 helmuts before this coming up year. Maybe I should consider a better vented one, cause I don't want to stop riding when it's hot, bad enough when it's cold. I just know that there were a couple of days that I would have ditched my helmut if I had a place to put it on the bike. I know that's not cool, but I WAS so miserable !! CJM |

CJ, Just do what you're comfortable with. And if you see me ride to Suburban sometime this Summer don't give me too hard of a time if I'm lidless (I'm only two blocks away from there now). And no chrome-dome jokes either. |

CJ, just do what I do - shave your head! My helmut has a nice stream of air that goes right over the top that feels nice and cool against the bare skin. Perfect for those really hot days. |

Hey Mike, You've got mail. So what'cha got for me?? Are you trying to get me in trouble with Diane?? If that's a yes, good. Keeps me on my toes it does. Jerry To everyone: Just as a reminder, more details to follow. February 22nd: House Warming. Come for 5 minutes or stay all day. Just help us break our house in right!! The in-wall fish tank should be done by then, at least the tank should be in the wall. It may be empty, but it will be in the wall. I have to think so many things through that it kind of hurts my brain sometimes. Oh well, better than sitting in class 3 nights a week.(he,he,he) |

Roger, thanks for your help, but you need to state what meeting you're talking about. I believe you are talking about a meeting at Uke's, but this is the BrewCity sub-section and there is no meeting at Hal's this week. I'm just trying to help avoid people getting confused. Bill, sorry to hear that. You have our support and prayers. |
