yeah i will be doing it, at some point just need the funds. i'm in Australia its gonna cost me around 900$AU you'll need to fabricate a bracket to match up the lower mountings the right hand side should be very close may just need to reem out hole a little but the left will need bracket. also the right hand side rail may come in contact with shock as the 1125 shock is to the right and the xb is centred, so you may need to cut a section out to suit. besides that it'll just be question will everything fit under the seat. good luck post up pics if you do it. i'm still not sure if i wanna go S tail or SS |

nah S frame is the small one SS is the LIghning Long. you'll need more than just that not sure of everything i havent gotta parts cat. but you'll need: Seat, Both rails, tail light, undertray, battery tray, all the little nuts and bolts, plus more. best bet would be to go into a dealer and ask to look at the parts catalog for the xbss. or if anyone on here could post up the pages that would help both me and andros. heres a photo shop i did a while ago.

thank you! I saw that posting on another forum which is what got me into doing this mod, cause i really cant stand the r tail. lets do this man... someone please post a parts manual for the xb ss and i'll get the parts ordered within the next couple of months. the wizards out at the local custom shop should be able to help with the welding/bracket-making. |

In regards to the undertail, remember that the shock position is offset on the 1125R, and centrally located on the XBs. That means the stock XB12Ss undertail isn't going to work without some bit of work. Not sure how much more work is going to be involved considering how DIFFERENT the two bikes are under the saddle. |

do you think there is room for fitting all the stuff under the ss saddle? |

I'm going off of memory here, but I don't think there is much that is actually located IN the tailsection on an 1125 aside from the battery. Things like the ECM are bolted down to the frame under the seat. |

yeah tail light is the same but the part which bolts to the side rails is different obviously. Xl1200r has a point so should be plenty of room. i wont be doing my mod for a while now came off the bike last night, i'm alright bikes a little under the weather goin to check the damage today. |

The 1125R has an all new frame. I assume that means there's a good chance the subframe mount points are not in the same location as the XB's. Anybody know for sure if there the same or different? |

The mounting points are pretty different. Just from memory, the space forward of the battery is pretty darn full. If somebody would have mentioned it last weekend, I had the seat off and could have snapped some picts. |

Spectrum read up higher, i have said they are different the mounting on the right a fairly close but left will need a bracket to suit. also just remembered you'll need to get a longer bolt and nut for the top left mount as the shock attaches to it and is fixed from the inside out (picture 3). Hey guys!! I'm going a head with this. In the coming montsh i will try to fabricate some wooden brackets to fit the xb s tail to the 1125 frame. If i succeed i will get some real aluminum ones made up! |
