I have had almost every animal you can think of ,east of the Mississippi, run out in the road in front of me. Cats, dogs of every size, rabbits, squirrels, chickens, turkeys,DEER, baby pigs, beavers, hedgehogs, cows, horses, etc etc. Yesterday I checked off the last box, a Bear ran out in the road. At first I thought oooo @#$%^! a bear, then what if he gets mad and stays in the road , now what do I do?? Luckily he kept moving . still scared the crap out of me. Rick |

Just_ziptab, I did not include the motorized violators. There is still a chevy, with my head imprint in the door, running around north Georgia. Rick |

I had the same thing happen as I was headed south on Wolfpen Gap Road about 5 years ago, just north of Lake Winfield Scott. The bear kept moving right across the road and he was far enough in front of me that I didn't freak out, but later I did think "what would you have done if he had stopped in the middle of the road?" |

Yup, the bears are scarey. I was doing the loop around Lake Superior a number of years ago. We were north of Duluth at very late dusk driving in the fog. A black bear cub ran across the road in front of the lead bike. I knew Mama had to be aournd somewhere. She was, she was just starting to lumber across the road as I went by her. Scared the crap out of me... Brad |

On a somewhat related note, last week I saw a sure sign of the impending apocalypse. I had to do a parts run at work (needed a odd cable adapter) as I was leaving the supplier, I came around a slow curve. What I saw stunned me for a second. There was a LARGE crow coming in for a landing, he was about 10 feet off the ground when I first spotted him. Nothing unusual there except that he was carrying a McDonalds bag in his beak!! Not just a french fry bag, but one of the medium sized ones. It looked like he had just flown through a drive through, snagged the bag and took off. I almost drove off the road.... The animal world is going to rise up and take over the world. Just ask the crow! Brad |

bear. My brother and I where riding around the Pepacton Reservoir one day. Right in the middle of the Road, 2 bear cubs. Just sitting there. We started to rev the engines a bit while backing up. Since Mama had to be nearby we waited till they decided to wander off the road, then went through.. |
