in the MX i understand the fuel in frame carry over from the XB... I hope it has some decent damn capacity for longer rides though. |

MOTARD... backing in the corners, coming out on 1 wheel crossed up, making a Gixxer squid soil their pants... It sounds like alot of FUN! |

"...damn capacity..." Is that different than regular capacity? |

http://www.can-am.brp.com/en-US/models/ds-450-efi/ index.htm Rumor has it that it would have been the same motor as the Can-am 450 |

Yeah, damn capacity. The City X only has 3.8 gallons and gets a bit thirsty out on the trail, when I go off grid, I have to pack gas with me. I have had to use the red jugs more than once. So if it gets better mileage, and has at least 2.5-3 gallons of gas then I am all good. if it has a cup over a juice bottle, then that doesnt work for me. Mx bike are notorious for having no gas because they just run em around the arena or back to the truck that hauled em to the woods. I dont want that. That will push me back to the Zuk. I just want to ride the thing in the woods all day ! |

It would be cool if they designed it so you could put a auxiliary tank on it from the get go.... You could have it in racing trim... Or Trail trim... just plug in the quick disconnect fuel line and tighten down a bolt or two.... take it one further and do the same with lights... |

My KLR-250 is now for sale... I ran all day with an XR650 and a CRF-450x. They filled up at lunch, and were nearly empty at the end of the day. I skipped the noon refill and ended the day with more then half a tank... I got a new dirt bike this weekend... the bad news is that it was missing cams, valves, cam chain, cam chain tensioner, pushrods, and rocker boxes. The good news is that it seemed to run just fine without them. It'll get crappy fuel economy though, and she smokes a lot... |

I'm all over it. Maybe. Gotta be street legal so I can ride on connector roads between trails. The only thing I'm wondering about is whether this is supposed to be a track bike or an offroad bike? If it's the latter, let me know where I can send the check. If it's the former, well, I'll still buy it as long as I can put a plate on it. |

Well, someone asked what the patent number was for the dirt bike, and I suggested that it hadn't published yet (therefore it is found in the "patent application" search area.) Here is a list of Buell + Motorcycle patent application search: http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=P TO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch- bool.html&r=0&f=S&l=50&TERM1=buell&FIELD1=&co1=AND &TERM2=motorcycle&FIELD2=&d=PG01 Check #4 on that list: 4 20090008178 Motorcycle frame having integral fuel tank and airbox see below for some images: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/450451.html?1239390608 |
