Soooo, I bought a newer style bub for my s1w and it doesn't fit...... I had an oem pipe on there that was wrecked, and it fit just fine. The bub just won't clear the way I need it to. The angle from the pipe to the frame is wrong. I need help deciding whether to try to trade off the pipe for something else or to cut and weld the bub. I would hate to do it, but are they worth too much to cut? I know a good welder, but not a cheap chrome dipper, so I also need to decide whether to re dip it if I cut and weld, or to jet coat the system. any input would be great! I feel stuck! |

I wouldn't cut up that exhaust. They are very rare and hard to come by. If you do want to get rid of it I would like to buy that pipe from you. |

the problem your going to run into is (some one correct me if I am wrong) But there is not many if any pipe companies that still make a pipe for the older style tubers so you may have to mod what ever pipe you do get. Or buy something used. (Message edited by firebolt020283 on May 23, 2009) |

Force still makes an exhaust for the old tubers, and Kooks still has a few in stock. The problem with those is the pricetag. You could always do what I'm doing and have a larger collector and elbow welded into the stock header... |

The kooks system will run you about 600 dollars, imo its well worth the money. The force can be had for 450-500 new. |

Phelan, problem with that is that I don't have a stock header for an s1 or anything. The M2 header I had is trash....... |

Well, I have an S2 header that is polished buy has a small dent in it. SportyEric has dibs on it if he wants it because he's sending me one without a dent for me to modify, but if he doesn't want it I'll let it go cheap. |

Ask around and find a Buell race exhaust. Worth every penny and will fit right first time every time. |

Worth every penny that we ain't got! LOL. Some of us can't come up with $4-500 to drop on a decent exhaust... |
