Riddle me this. just looking on the Pazzo website, the 1125 r/cr product code is (F-14/C-777) looking down the list: Kawasaki ZX7R / ZX7RR - 1989-2003 - F-14/C-777) ZX9 - 1994-1997 - (F-14/C-777) ZX1100 / ZX-11 - 1990-2001 - (F-14/C-777) ZRX1100 / 1200 - 1999-2007 - (F-14/C-777) ZZR1200 - 2002-2005 - (F-14/C-777) Yamaha FJR 1300 - 2003 - (F-14/C-777) does this mean that i could get another brand of levers say crg or, asv for these other makes and they would fit??? | ||

Very likely. Most sport bikes have Japanese switchgear and levers that are made by the same company, and interchange readily. However........... One needs to be aware that there are running changes and so forth, so that a lever that looks like it will fit, may not work properly. This is especially true of brake levers, which must not only "fit" but operate the brake light and brake caliper properly. Some levers that will fit, will actually put a very slight pressure on the brake pads, which will then overheat the brake rotor and cause the front wheel to seize. Not a good thing. | ||

You have but procede with caution. EG XB and Tuber brake levers look (almost) the same but they are not interchagable. | ||

a user of the italian board mounted a suzu or kawa lever on his xb, and only god knows why he didn't killed himself. He was fortunately decelerating at slow speed when the lever got blocked and he fall down in the middle of the cars passing by. | ||

yeah i think ill wait til asv bring out a set for the 1125. dont wanna spend a pretty dime and find out they dont fit | ||

Is it just the lever? Or the whole lot? I doubt Pazzo would make different levers with the same part number. Ditto CRG or anyone else. That is the point of a part number. Email them and ask. Show them the info you have above and ask if theirs will fit. Ask if they will send you a set to try and you either send them back or pay. James | ||

I contacted ASV a while back, and also spoke with Rob Morales owner and he was very enthused to make them for Buell 1125R/update XB with 8 piston since I was sponsored for years with them in MX/Supermoto and now as Buell specialist I have been looking for some levers made here for my 1125CR/customers. Even though the Pazzo levers are nice, but like CRG(contacted them with no plans for 1125 and some have them converted for 1125R). I am waiting for Rob of ASV to contact me and setup a time to do all the Buells/updates at our location in Riverside, CA. I await and see. Rob Buell Specialist | ||

The pazzo levers for the 1125r work, but they will mark up the fairing mount at full lock in both directions. They also just slightly engage the front brake as a result of being in a full lock left turn which will cause you to dump the bike if you aren't expecting it. I've gone back to stock levers because I like the leverage the full length levers provide. |
