Those look really good, Hangontight! Totally my style! Very utilitarian being waterproof and all. They look like they can hold a lot of gear too. Did you just strap them down to the passenger peg assembly? No other tie down besides the top straps going over the seat? I'm kinda surprised they work with no side luggage racks! Do you think they'll work fine even loaded? |

While we are on the subject of Chase-Harper: Picked up a set of Saddle Bags & a Tank Bag. Good price BUT: The Tank Bag was missing the straps & all but (1) of the male connectors. Anybody know where I can get some male connectors like so?? - It is marked "Friend" (I think). Nothing in McMaster-Carr & Jo Ann fabrics is even close

Bculy, They have straps that attach to the passenger footpegs, two strap that go across the top, and one that connects the two bags across the back. I loaded them up and they do swing in a little bit, but nothing I'm worried about. If you're still looking for a set of bags, PM me. I got these http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46 4957 yesterday and I'm going to stick with the Ortliebs. Let me know if you want'em. I got extra pics too. |

I just got a set of these from Motogear Outlet: http://www.motogearoutlet.com/specials.htm Its the black Cortech 3 piece kit and complements the Uly well. So far I like them better than the NelsonRigg's I had. The NR bags on my little SV650 faded out to a light gray/purple color.... The cortech top bag comes off with 4 snaps so you can ride 2up. I will try to remember to take a photo of them. |

Here is my soft bags solution: • Tail bag T439N ($150) • Pair of saddle bags T438N ($170) • Home made steel mounting bracket. (~$50) As I don’t travel often, I didn’t want to spend too much on baggage… The GIVI bags are great but they need some kind of support to prevent them to tilt inboard. Designing the mounting bracket was relatively easy. I used the four screws underneath the seat and the two others behind the rear foot pegs to anchor the assembly. My first prototype had only the vertical loops in the shape of the bags and it wad difficult to mount the bags evenly. I later added the bottom supports and the top slots for the belts. The end result is very stable and cheap traveling kit. They also look great on the bike…
