Author Message   Xodot Posted on Friday, May 22, 2009 - 01:36 pm:        I spoke with Al Lighton today since I am looking for a set of bars which will move my hands forward and down while riding. He explained clearly how challenging it was to find a set that will fit between the tank and faring from lock to lock. Al was unable to recommend a product for me. Have any of you had success in finding bars for your S3?   Dragonwing Posted on Friday, May 22, 2009 - 02:03 pm:        I just added a set of 'euro bars' to my S3. They are a factory part and still available. You WILL need to also add a set of fork bumpers (also a factory part and still available) to keep the bars from hitting the tank. It's a nice set up and doesn't require any change in the lines and cables. Bar is about $75 and the bumpers will set you back about $15. Is it simply a matter of bolting the X1/M2 handlebars on or are other parts needed to accommodate the change? "i" did take a CLAMP,handlebar to a machinist to mill flat(spacer) on one side as the handlebars need to be raised 3/4 of an inch for me ... COMFORT and Handling: Felt more comfortable for me and the handling suited me better as the handlebar is a little wider ...
