Phil, We do a trade show that every year puts me out of town during the first or second week of June. My Birthday is the 7th, usually right in between the first & second weeks with travel. The best part is, it alternates between North America and Europe. This year Orlando, next year Scotland. I'm waiting for it to return to Amsterdam!!! So, it's no big deal for me. You'll probably start to feel that way too when you start looking down the barrel at 40 like I am!!! |

Friday night at Hertford Dragway in NC. Its near Elizabeth city. I'm going down after work and gates open at 6pm and drags till 10pm. Cars, trucks, bikes and even snowmobiles!!! I'm gonna get at least one run in tomorrow night. It can be looked up online for a location and address. Looking forward to a ride Saturday, hope to see y'all. Mel, my birthday is June 5th. Take the bypass around Elizabeth city to Foreman Bundy Road, take it to the left all the way to the end. make a right at the stop sign continue to the next stop sign and you can see the entrance just to the right past the stop sign. hope this helps |

Good luck tonight!!! Once I get some fresh rubber (and get back from my work trips) I'd like to make a run on the strip myself... I figure I'm good for at least 120 in the 1/4 low 11's. maybe even high 10's!!! It would be good to get a slip to prove it! |

Mel the Farm is an 1/8 mile track. I think your bike tested low twelves with an anorexic professional test rider. the Most important part of any drag race is the launch and on any motorcycle is tough but on a high powered short wheelbased motorcycle is a skill not mastered by many. I think the e.t. conversion rate from 1/8 to 1/4 mile tracks is like an additional 4 seconds. low to mid 9s is most likely the time you can turn the first time out is you have not drag raced on a bike before. |
