I went ahead and ordered 250 COBRA "website business cards". Should have them in hand in about 10 days to pass out to everyone. You can in turn hand them to anyone you see with a Buell in Central Ohio to let them know about the group!

Powder coating!!! I have a new friend who has a powder coating business! He said he would strip and coat motorcycle wheels for $50 a piece. He has a 9' long hot box (Place where they bake on the powder) Anyone interested? He can also do frames or anything else that is metal... Brake calipers... you name it.

Dumb question... what are the different levels of "status" on the profile. I am currently XR/RR1100, I have also seen Thunderstorm and XR/RR1200.. I figure it has to do with how many posts you have made...

CR to R conversion... Well I picked up all the parts in Nashville Friday night really long 12 hour round trip. It will be worth it. The funny thing is we had to exchange keys, because the ignition cylinders were different. We also swapped the cowl lock, but forgot the Fuel cap... So I have no way to fill up my tank and neither does he. Feel like such a dumb ass. So I will be down for at least 3 days next week while we wait for cross shipping keys and caps, which really sucks. Any way I will post some pics of the work in progress.

Ryan, I put the event up on the COBRA calendar also.

Since June 21 is Father's Day and I'm taking off four days the following weekend to ride the Dragon and Blue Ridge Parkway, I won't be able to make this event. :-(

Me and a couple non-Buell buddies (you remember Kurt on the Honda Interceptor) are leaving early Friday afternoon on June 26. Our hope is to make it out to Knoxville that night, but since none of us have ridden that long we'll see how we do. We plan on being on the Dragon that Saturday before Noon so we can beat the busy part of the day for our first time through. Then we're heading up to Blue Ridge for the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday.

If anyone's interested in joining us give me a shout. We're playing the whole thing by ear, just grabbing cheap motels and food along the way.

This week is the first Wednesday of the month and therefore our standing COBRA meet for Bike Night. I'll be skipping out this week -- it's my big 40th b-day Wednesday, so I'll be partying with the family. But we'll probably be doing the Euro bike night the following week.

Given that turning 40 doesn't turn my bones to mush and I have to trade in my Buell for a cruiser...NOT!!!

Since I'm bowing out this week I'll let someone else take the lead. Mark? Neil? Bueller? Bueller??

For those on Facebook, I just started a COBRA group. It links back to our website and this forum. We might have more Ohio riders find us via that group.

I invited those I could find in Facebook to be friends, since I can't invite you to join until you're a friend (at least as far as I can see). But when I did the mass invite it didn't allow me to put in any message, so when you see a Facebook friend invite from Bruce Westbrook, that's why.

Dragon & Blue Ridge Parkway Ride

Open invitation - I am planning a trip down to the Dragon in June with a couple of non-Buell friends. We’re leaving the afternoon of Friday, June 26 and plan to ride the Dragon on Saturday. We’re then riding the Blue Ridge Parkway for as far as we feel like (at least until the cool viaduct), until heading back to Columbus on Monday.

We’re not making any reservations in advance for lodging, but don’t plan on making this a very expensive trip. $50 motels for 3 nights, fast-food during the day, maybe a steak one night, and gas is about all it takes.

If anyone else would like to join a Buell(er), a Honda Interceptor, and a Honda CBR on a nice long weekend for a ride on the Dragon followed by some beautiful scenery on the Parkway, we’d be happy to have you along. Just give me a shout and let me know.

Just be sure to have your AMA membership up to date for any breakdowns! LOL
