Well, after some last minute adjustments and buttoning everything up it ran through it's first heat cycle just now with no noticeable leaks. WOO-HOO! I haven't put the muffler back on just in case something happened. My neighbors won't talk to me for days as it was almost 10:00 when it fired up. Man was it loud, 1250cc's thumping in the still of the night. I'm all a tingle, can't wait to ride it tomorrow. Maybe I'll put the muffler back on and head out at 3a.m. I'll get a pic up soon. |

Even with the muffler on it's still louder than what I remember it being, of course it is 11:45. I didn't care much for the neighborly small talk anyway. Still need to get the bugs worked out. I've been playing around with the ECMSPY looks pretty cool, especially the diagnostic tools. And I think my battery is dead as I had to jump it off the car. It's only a year old but has sat for eight of those months. |

That's got to be really exciting to fire it up for the first time... Good luck breaking-in the motor. It's guys like you (and Pk, Prey, and all the others) who not only keep the brand alive but show all the other bike owners/riders/lovers that Buells are up there with the best of them... |

How did it run without a muffler? I trust you didn't let it run that long like that but I'm sure it sounded awesome. I know that when I lived in my previous home, my neighbors weren't fond of my FORCE pipe. |

Phillip, got your message, thanks. I'm going to do a quick check of some things when I get home, one thing is my battery was dead (or almost) so I went ahead and sprung for a new Duralast sport bike battery and it's charging right now. Eshardball, it sounded like a tractor pull in my garage. I only left it like that for the initial one minute break in cycle and then put the pipe back on but those youtube videos without a pipe do it no justice what-so-ever. If it was that loud at 2k rpm's I could only imagine it up around 4k. |

Just for sh!ts & giggles, I took the baffle out of my FORCE pipe and went for a ride. It was loud even inside my full face helmet but it sure sounded good. Please post a link to your video. |
