Ok, I just replaced the stator and my second voltage regulator. Since the first one was replaced I had already changed over to the new and improved 77 connector. Now I have another kit which includes both sides of the new style connector which you may purchase from your nearest Buell dealer. However since I don't need it I will gladly part with it for the price of shipping to someone who could use it. PM me with your address and I will send it on it's way. Shipping is about $2.00. You don't really need the 400 dollar crimper to do this job, just a good professional crimper will work just fine. Mine did. I also put in a voltage gauge and everything is working great. No more blown headlights! What a concept! |

I just ripped my 77 apart last week, as I have a 3000 mile trip planned from Canada to the Gap and back up the coast.. It looked fine, I was debating cutting it off and just soldering it, but instead I packed it with a ton of dielectric grease. I figure that should help cushion vibes and and shorting that could occur. I'm going to check it when I get back. I have about 10000 miles on my Uly. |

Ourdee was the first to send me his address, now I have a target for my egg throwing on Halloween!! Just kidding! I'll ship it today. Johnboy, I checked the package and there is no part numbers on it. It might be on the instructions inside the package but I didn't want to open it, I think Froggy has mentioned the number before. Adamd, if you were good and put the grease in there then I wouldn't worry about it. Mine still looked new when I cut it off. The new regulators already have the new style connector on them so you have to change it. I wouldn't worry about it, go have fun. tootal (Message edited by tootal on May 21, 2009) (Message edited by tootal on May 21, 2009) |
