I'd offer a couch to sleep on. But my place is pretty full with Diablobrian, No_Rice and hopefully Brian's brother staying here with us. But if any of ya are here after the weekend, I've got the 1st half of the next week off. With 'trackpop' and no_rice stickin' around for the June 10th trackday at Blackhawk, we're gonna hit up a kettle ride, and a holy hill ride. Basically many of the same roads those of you that did the "Adventure" ride last year with Flick on the 4th. Here are a couple of the rides we'll do... http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner /share/101406 http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner /share/101760 |

X1, I wish I was that good that I could tell you a time I will be there. My method of long distance bike travel under a time constraint is pretty simple; Do as many miles I can the fist day. I will bring the laptop so I can post where I will be after that first day. Then I will have an approximate time. It will be nice to ride with a few people. It does not look like anyone else from Colorado is making the trek this year. |

Sounds good Frank, I think we are going to go hit the only twistys we have in IL over by Ottawa for a bit on the way up. So it could be possible to meet up in Rockford or something we will see I need to touch base with Geforce and see when he is going to be headed this way. |

Ok, finally here is the skinny on what will be going on here at Hal's. I know it's late, but i wanted confirmed times before i posted it. This will be a grand opening for our newly constructed Buell showroom. |

Ryan, You guys deserve a big "Thanks". Hal's has really stepped up for this. OK......I need a count on who wants to hit the museum on Thursday afternoon BEFORE bike night. We'd leave Hal's either thusday morning or afternoon...whichever you guys would like to do. There's been interest in going early so we could get back to Hal's for the ride and meet and greet. |

Buellhusker, Hey that sounds like a plan. I just checked google and your about half way. I had actually planned on making Des Moines the first day but l have not done more than a 500 mile day in many years. I will keep your number with me and will give you a call when I stop for the night. I was not looking forward to riding the whole distance alone. Frank 719-200-4957 |

Way to Go Crusty! We'll see who's all there, but by the time we get done with the museum, there may be time to hit an authentic Mexican place really close to it. I'm stoked. |

I know everyone will probably go to the Bike Night at the Harley Museum. But, if anyone is interested (maybe after). There's the Harley Shootout (Buell's included) at Great Lakes Dragaway, Thursday night also. Gates open at 5pm, Races start around 8. till 10:00. Hopefully it won't rain again this year. Just thought I'd mention it. |

Has anybody planned on lunch at the Factory?? I could bring my truck with a grill and maybe a turkey cooker? Thoughts? |

Lunch would be great, I had inquired about it being offered there, but it does not seem to be included in this year's offering. |

In addition there are some downright DANDY places, plenty of them, within a 3 minute ride of the factory. I've got my fingers crossed hoping they DON'T have lunch . . . but then East Troy is the one chance I get to eat great Mexican food. Trust me . . . anyone who serves you "Mexican" food in New York City is NOT your friend! |

If anyone needs a ride or transportation for a bike...please let me know. I am from the Baltimore area and have room in my truck and trailer. We are leaving for Road America on tuesday night. Our team will be racing in the AMA Moto-GT race on saturday and will be heading home on saturday night. Help out with some fuel expenses, that is all we ask. I have drafted a complete schedule, well mostly... and a route. Lemme see if I can put them on here now. If anyone is traveling on this route for Thursday please let me know so maybe we can all meet somewhere and sync our timelines to make a huge convoy. As it stands I will have 4 Buells in our convoy. Three from the start and X1 is jumping in at Bloomington, IL... If anyone sees anything I should add to my newbie homecoming events please let me know! I want to try and do as much as possible. I don't HAVE to leave on Monday... it's my b-day too. But I don't know if anything is going on Monday. Thanks! (Message edited by Geforce on May 29, 2009) |
