Looking for a pic for the wife - she's "visualization-challenged" and needs pictures. I know they offered it in the S3, but I'd prefer an M2/M2L (pretty sure they offered it there as well). Volcano gray bodywork with orange frame and wheels, prefer a stock (or close to stock) photo. One of my personal favorite color combos, and now I may have a chance to make it happen in my garage.... If anyone has one, I'd appreciate a link, post here, or a PM with the pic attached. THANKS!!! |

There was a brochure (2002 maybe? I think it was first year for XB's) that featured one prominently. It was making a RH corner with blurred forest in the background IIRC. But, this one is easily find-able: http://ephratamotorcyclemeet.com/pictures/index.ph p?displaypic=07-06-03%2FDSC00435_med_.jpg |

Awesome, thanks guys! Jos - do you know anything about the bike in that pic, or did you just find it on a search? I'm interested in what looks like a frame slider under the intake...time to march on over to American Sport Bike and see what he's got |

Great stuff. Gawd, I LOVE that combo...really brings out the art of the tube frame. Now to convince the redhead that an orange frame isn't a bad thing, LOL |

I've got a good argument for you... Tell her that the Orange frame help other drivers see you therefore making it the safest Buell out there. |

Perhaps one of the best looking Buell color combinations. .. right up there with Ice White Pearl and Onyx. |

I'm interested in what looks like a frame slider under the intake I hate those. If you drop your bike, those either dent the frame, or spin 'round the frame tube and chew up the paint, and if they spin, they're not even protecting the stuff they're poorly designed to protect. I'll take a tore up header or airbox instead of a tore up frame any day, but that's just me. |

If I mount something on the frame, the frame'll have a wrap of electrical tape on it first as a "buffer". Besides...it's got a black frame (for now) that *will* be getting redone in orange at some point. I'd rather ding paint there on a parking lot tip, than damage the tank. The right side still has the (sacrificial) breadbox on it, so that'll protect quite a bit. Left...well, the tank hits the ground pretty much right away and I want to try and keep that from happening. She's a good rider...once she gets moving. She's perfectly stable on the M2L...at rest. I'm sure it'll go down at least once. I'm open to alternatives. Pics will be posted tomorrow once I get 'em, but it's only got 4400 miles on it. It's *clean*. I'd like to protect it as best I can |

I'm pretty sure they will...I can check a bit later as I have full 98 S3 plastics I saved from going into the trash. |

The pics are all awesome, thanks everyone. However... She's a redhead. She's not much on visualization. She's an only child. (I'm screwed, lol) She'd like to see one in person. Is at least *one* going to be at Homecoming? <sigh> |

Mine won't be there, but I know that there usually is at least one there... |

There's an '02 M2 in that colour combo for sale near us at the moment, and Vampress wants it bad , so there's at least one female who thinks it's a good paint scheme. Hmmm... house extension vs. another Buell... (Message edited by lemonchili_x1 on May 24, 2009) |
