I'd love to do an outing to Cathedral Ledge if somebody could lead...I can set top ropes and have some gear to donate... I've been itching to get back onto the rock...been trying to get back into shape to be able to hold my fat azz on it... This year's party will not be like the others. This one will be low key. Just some good food and good company. Won't be getting the moonwalk and the pools not open yet. I'd like to try rock climbing with some gear.... I've worked through some shoulder problems and haver lost 20 lbs since January so I am ready to do some climbing again! JP I have the skills to lead "Thin Air" on Cathedral, but would have to work my way back up to that. One of my best friends is my climbing partner/leader and he has a full rack I could borrow anytime. But I really need to spend some time on the rock and get my head for heights back before doing any real leading. Jim, we always place gear and use ropes. I have extra harnesses and several pairs of climbing shoes - what size do you wear? Carrabiners is a bit of a trip for a evening of climbing after a long day of work... I also have a lot of other training I have to fit in so my time is getting even more constrained over the next 5 months...but the climbing can be counted as some damn good cross training. I have a spare harness and two 60 meter ropes - 1 11mm dynamic and 1 11 mm static for setting tops and rapelling.   Chippy Posted on Monday, May 18, 2009 - 03:58 pm:        I've been itching to check out that place. Gyms are great and fun, but real rock is where its at! Lots of bouldering at Pawtuckaway too. it is about 15 miles from me.
